First of all, hello everyone. This site has helped me alot already, mucho info here.
I have to say my only O/C experience is with a Striker Extreme 680i M/B, so bear with my ignorance, I learned alot with that board, but the BlackOps smokes it so far. I have the BlackOps with the above listed RAM, E8400, Visiontek 4870x2, Vista 32 and have the cpu and m/b water cooled.
So far I have been able to get a FSB of 445MHz(@ 1.25v) with a 1:3.202 divider(in auto, works out to that ratio), which makes 1425MHz MEM. I am running the MEM at 1.801v and 8,8,8,24 1T. All voltages except MEM default. I'm really happy with this O/C but am trying to get the memory closer to it's rated 1600. I've tried several things but this post is long already. Does anybody know if I have reached the limit of this RAM or have suggestions???
Thanks in advance.
Slyde

Hello Slyde, I would try it like this, In the Bios change the FSB to 400. just below FSB where its says Cpu Clock vs Memory speed, change to 1.4 cpu333 this will give you a 1600mhz ram speed but you will only be at 3.6 on cpu so f10 reboot and try increasing FSB & volts in aegis panel until you find the max.
Or if you want more from your chip, Or you just want to stay at the 445 FSB you already have try moving the Cpu clock vs memory speed to 1.3.2 or 1.3 .

Thanks RAYTTK, I will give all you said a try. I'm just messing around and trying to learn. So I'm not really looking for any specific O/C. I was surprised to see that there is no way to 'unlink' the FSB from the MEM tho. It makes it difficult to know which component is limiting further O/C.
Thanks.

No Problem, Have fun. You will be really happy with this board after a weeks worth of playing around.

The best I can do with 1:4 333 is 356MHz, which is ~1425MHz MEM speed. I tried loosening the mem timings and tried bumping the NB to 1.406v, 1 increment at a time. Just won't post. I'll keep playin. Thanks.

Check out the Black Ops OC guide for some E8400 voltage settings & a few people in there used Corsair ram, You may just need to push the Ram Vdimm upto 1.85 or 1.88

Will do....thanks again RAYTTK.
