So, im about to order my wc'ing equiptment on monday, and just wanted to know where i should put my radiators. I will be trying to fit in two loops into this case, each using a thermochill 120.3 radiator:
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showpr...ple%20Radiator

i was wondering if any 1 here had managed to do this, and where they had put them. i was thinking about celaring out the bottom of the case and fitting one down there with the PSU, and possibly mounting one on the top of the case and cutting a hole for the air. is it possible to fit two of these rads down the bottom? is there a problem with fitting the radiator up the top?? will it fit with the mobo, or will the mobo get in the way??

if people with the v2000b or similar case could give me a hand and show me pictures of their build with the radiators in??

thanks.exe

With a Corsair HX1000 there isn't enough length for it to be mounted at the floor unless the PSU is moved up. What you could do was to mount them to the case sides, in that way, they would draw air into the case.. Otherwise, move the PSU up and mount 1 in top of the case and one on the floor..

at the moment im using a cossair 650w PSU, and am planning to mount it so it sits at the top of the bottom section, and was gunna get the sides laser cut so that the radiators draw air from the sides, i was wondering if tehre was enough room for this.

When I had the V2000 I did it this way. A forum member bought it off me and has it setup the same way

As Silver shows, that way would most likely be the best ;)

THANKYOU! its EXACTLY the way i wanted to do it but didnt know if it would fit! btw do you have air blowing all the way through the radiators like from left to right? and is it a good idea to use shrouds and fans in the middle of the rads?

thanks!!

Keep in mind that the PA120.3 is a fatter radiator. I've got an V2110 (bit smaller bottom part I believe) and I will be puzzling later today with trying to fit 2 pa 120.3 ( got one atm so have to do some guesswork.)

Well the MCR320 that is on that project is a "little" different from a PA120.3 who like eltinio said is fatter. One PA120.3 with fans as ~9cm width, the V2000 as 21cm. It will be tight, but have a shot and post your results.

Not including the fittings and the thread hole of the PA 120.3 is 60mm thick. A standard fan is 25mm thick and my lianli v2110 is about 200 - 205 mm wide.
So you can sandwich 2 radiators and fans the following way:
|fan| |rad| |fan| |rad| |fan| = 25 +60+25+60+25= 195mm so just fitting inside of the case but routing your tubes will be very hard.

Another option I could think of is the following:
|rad| |fan| |fan| |fan| |rad| the thread hole is about 5mm high so you get 3x25mm - 2x5mm = 65 mm spacing between the two radiators for fittings (assuming that the fittings of both radiators are facing each other.

I don't know how much you gain if you stack 3 fans on each other instead of just 1 set of fans per radiator.

im the guy that bought the case from silverphoenix

yes 2 120.3's fit at the bottom if you mount the psu higher BUT the pa's wont fit its a tight fit with the swiftech rads

the only way you can fit 2 pa's is if you dont make a drain port like i like in the pic that way you save a lot more space and then your going to have to sandwich the rads and add 6 fans in push and pull configuration

A mate of mine has got 2 x feser quads in his v2000 so you will have no problems :)

thanks for all your ideas guys, what im gunna do is get two swiftech 120.3's and have: Fan>Rad>Fan>Rad>Fan. and fit my PSU up the top of the bottom of the case...if that makes sense :)
will that work?? having the air being pushed through the whole of the case? will it fit?

BTW im not fitting my pump/res in the bottom of the case

it should work depending on the size of the fans get some 120x25 some nice yates should do the trick

btw your going to need some 90's to get all the tubing right

i put 2 mcp655's in my 5 1/2" bays

im gunna get two of these:

and fit them in the top part of my case, and im either gunna use medium speed yaytes or s-flex's

i have med speed yates and those things are very very quiet and cool my components very well bro highly recommended

hmm, i was thinking about s-flex, my bro is using them on thermochill 120.3's and they are working very well, and they are quiet.....im still undecided :confused:
