Planning to upgrade 1066 soon.

Is it compatible?

Grungero, A forum member named HDCHOPPER has a MARS & is running 1150 RAM so I would have thought your ok

Yap, it's ok...
I've had 2 kits of RAMs with 1066MHz by SPD on it ;)

yes thay work

matter of fact all ram eye have put on the board works :D 800 , 1066 , 1050 , 1150 , 1200 (oc) next set will be teem's 1300 kit

It's good to know that I tried 3-4 different brands on it and never had problems with any of them. But I sent it on RMA because problems with OCing memory after I put 3.3V for one kit of Ballistix. Than I started to have problem with all memoryes above 1000MHz. Too sad that the high voltage that these board can "export" kills the board :( ....

The most sad thing is that I was able to reach 560MHz of FSB without any problems and high voltages :(

ya that is a bummer 560 would be nice ! :D

+ that I want make some ln2 action and go above 600 FSB :(
enough spam now :D I just want to warn about giving maximum voltages for memory can damage this board... I hope that only I have that expirience.

Thanks guys!

Anyone here using Team Extreem Mems?

If there are problems it is not the Mars but the memory chips when it is not D9GMH or D9GKX.
So you could buy the cheapest D9GMH memory and do some overclocking manually.
In addition it is very interesting to flash an SPD profile of your favourite RAM into the cheap one :D

Guys, when your in 540 FSB and above, what NB voltage are you at? What bios? So that i could try.

Need tips guys. :D

I think that I've used ~1.50V and G28 BIOS for hitting 560MHz FSB

Wow! I used ~1.53V for 540 FSB with P14 bios.

Hmmm.

How do you update your bios guys?

I updated my bios with P16. Satisfied with it.

Runing now at 1100Mhz with 458 FSB. 2.26v

Hmmm, i'll try G28.

If i hit 560FSB with it on AIR, i'll stick to it. Haha!

Unfortunately, I've tested the board 2-3 months ago and achived 560MHz of FSB with low voltages so I thought that I'll achive more and don't get validation on 560MHz. Next day I've tested max memory freq. and when I gave 3.3V for memory looks like I've damaged the board because since than I couldn't run memory over 1000MHz. Of course I tried 3-4 kits of memory with 1066MHz by SPD but everything over 500MHz FSB or over 1000MHz (any strap) for memory couldn't boot.

The sadest thing is that I could use 500MHz FSB for 24/7 use but nothing over that :(

How do you update your bios guys?

live updater, ofc :D

Hey guys, does a bios has OS compatibility?

I'm using Windows 7 beta right now.

Anyway, can't boot at 4-4-4-12 1100mhz with 2.2v lol.

I recieved friends Mars again but now I have bigger problem. I can't boot.
Using my Ballistix 667MHz RAM and E8600 CPU. I tried one stick in all DIMMs and kit in all combinations but I always get short beeps from speaker :(

Have no other kits here to try with non-GMH chips
