There is so much false information in those tweak guides it's not even funny. Without me explaining them you could even go to the discussion thread of the Ars guide and see many of the tweaks explained.

yeah axcel 216 did put in lotta work. Althought i havent seen him update his XP tweaks for a long time.

Seconded. Check out H@tMonsters services guide over at arstechnica. No Guesswork there, and good explanations, so you have a good idea about whether you actually need a service or not
