Does anyone have system pictures of 7/16 tubing with bitspower or other compression fittings? (7/16 fittings, not makeshift :yepp:)

nope..

7/16id tubing...

I only use 7/16. Unless its my RD-30.

Remember koolance used to only fit 7/16 5/8 b4 they came out with the second line which takes 1/2 3/4

The 13mm Compression from koolance is NOT Make shift. Outter wall takes 5/8.

Its true messurements is 13mm. Anyhow it will fit 7/16tubing without a hitch and work fine.. As i have shown above. Make sure you DONT mistaken the 1/2 3/4 version.

I love the new motherboard and blocks, but please peel the dominator blue sticker off.
Looks so much better with the black aluminum showing.

Here's another shot - 7/16 fittings on the GTZ, 3/8" on the NB-Max (same external size, since both are 5/8" OD). 'Scuse the dust:

I have to agree, those are some very nice looking setups! All of them! I'm in limbo for awhile as to if I have 7/16" fittings. If I find out they are, then I'll share pictures of mine. I think they are 1/2" fittings, but to be 100% sure, I have to send one back where I got it from and let them determine if they are or not.

I got a swiftech kit off newegg and the description said the hose was 7/16" ID and 5/8" OD and when I tried to fit it on the fitting, it was not easy to say the least. And the hose had to be squeezed and wiggled and shoved through the top part of the fitting. When I tried to screw it together, I couldn't get the screw to the base. I twisted, pushed, and struggled and it was just NOT getting there.
I went to Lowes to try and find tubing there. This crappy vinyl 1/2" ID by 5/8" OD hose worked perfect. Fit like a glove. I started to screw the top into the base and about 75% through the process it started getting a bit difficut. At the end my fingers were hurting from making sure it was tight and that makes me think it made a great seal. It's running now and I have no leaks, so I can't help but to think I got 1/2" compression fittings. I e-mailed Gary at Sidewinders to see if he'll let me mail him a sample of each hose I got and one of the fittings *Since I couldn't use them in my CPU Block* and see what he finds out. He is pretty confident that swiftech didn't give me 7/16" hose because bitspower hasn't made any mistakes with their labeling on their bags to date. But like I told him, I don't care if it is 1/2" fittings, I'll keep them. I just need a proper hose to go with the fittings! I don't want to order almost 30 bucks of that expensive hose because they clearly state you can't return it, and find out it won't work either! And it will give me a chance to get a new CPU Water block to fit the fittings into. I'll be ready to rock and roll then!

The description was wrong on NewEgg for the Swiftech water cooling kit. Anyone with the Swiftech H20 Kit needs to read this so they can avoid the same issue I had. You will need to order new tubing if you get compression fittings!!! I'm going to flat out Quote Gary from Sidewinders. He went through this with me from the beginning and was beyond helpful, nice, friendly and put in lots of effort on this. So if anyone finds this useful, please thank Gary at Sidewinders for all his help on this!

I've taken some measurements. The 1/2 x 5/8" obviously is not going to work, it is really, really stiff tubing. Its measurements are labelled on the side.
The other stuff appears to be Clearflex 60 tubing. The light blue tint is a giveaway. For the fitting I was able to quickly compare this one you sent to our fittings chart and confirm it is the CC6.
The Clearflex tubing ID wall is around 11.25 mm when measured with a caliper deep inside the tubing wall.
So I would say it is 7/16" ID tubing.

(7/16) inches = 11.1125 millimeters
If it were 1/2" ID it would be 12.7 mm. And its too large to be 3/8".
For the OD however I get right around 17mm. It needs to be 15.875 mm to be 5/8" OD tubing.
Therefore this tubing is 7/16 " ID x 11/16" OD and not 7/16" ID x 5/8" OD. That is your problem. The tubing goes over the barb on the CC6 fine, but the ring will not lock it down because the OD is too thick.
So you need something like Durelene or Tygon 7/16 x 5/8" if you want these compressions to work. We don't have a compression that will work on the tubing you sent, Bitspower doesn't make one for that size yet.

So NewEgg or Swiftech one has made a mistake in their description.

That's not cool is it? I should fuss at them, because I'm sure someone else may want to buy fittings and they'll be disappointed like I was.
Hopefully they come here first and read this and save themselves the time and trouble.

Kenny

P.S. My pictures of my fittings can be seen at http://home.comcast.net/~www2000 The first few pictures are before I added my NB/SB Blackfreezer, MOSFET blocks and GPU block to the loop and the fittings as well. The last few pictures have them all, and I believe the very last one gives you a real good view of the fittings in the Res. However that tubing is the cheap crap from Lowes. I just ordered my Tygon from Sidewinders and I'll install that this weekend and take better pictures to share.
