"BFG Tech has told Tweaktown that it will be putting its first complete gaming PC on display at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) early next year. It will feature a touch screen LCD, which judging by the image we have, allows you to control various aspects of your PC which one would imagine includes overclocking and other BIOS related settings. What it most interesting, is that they seem to be using the same LCD to replace the standard power and restart buttons usually found on a chassis. It has also been said that there will be, "maintainance-free liquid cooling and unprecedented in-home setup and maintainance servicing." Details are still vague and as yet there is no information on the configurations, availability or pricing. If you want to see the system for yourself, it will be at the MGM Grand from Thursday 8th to Saturday 10th January."

Embedded LCD's are the way of the future, it's nice to be able to control the PC without any big screen attached.

As long as it doesn't work like a French car it's fine: Full with electronics which are all nice and pretty to look at and use, until the second week of usage when it just stop working and you're forced to bring it somewhere to get it fixed because even the oil level is controlled by Artificial Intelligence somewhere in the deep dungeons of your engine compartment meaning you can't do anything yourself without turning your brand new car into a relatively expensive thing fit for nothing else than looking at shaking your head.

Quite interesting in any way.

Lies. Our family had to buy a car for our holiday home and we were dumb enough to buy a French car. Even French people told us that we were brave for doing so. I have never in my life seen such a miserable heap of fail. It's fine to drive, when it works.

And Katanai, I assume the last sentence in your post is a thought of your own: "Embedded LCD's are the way of the future, it's nice to be able to control the PC without any big screen attached."

You mean that it's nice to be able to control and possibly overclock your computer without having a screen. This raises the question of why you'd want to have a computer in the first place.

I'm on the road a lot man, I move from place to place. Sometimes my monitors have to stay behind until I can transport them. So, something like this would be great for my needs. I could at least access my media files and maybe check my email on it. Also overclocking would also be great on it, especially if you're at an event or something. I can think of a lot of uses for that small screen...

French cars are great, we drive a Renault. And im saying that as a german from Stuttgart (the car was invented here, we have the HQs of Mercedes & Porsche in our city).

traitor! :D:D

no offense, but renault isn't always one of the worst manufacturer in the ADAC surveys for no reason :p:;) (ok, i'm confused about how to translate this in proper english, is this right? "nicht ohne grund..." :p:)

however, it's amazing how a single post makes the original topic completely irrelevant ;)

I think the LCD is just plain silly. It is going to be easier to a display that is directly in front of you then a case that is either below you or above you and to the left or right.

I have my doubts that it'll function so far as to letting you into the OS, I hope I'm wrong though. Still fair enough, your reasons are, of course, valid. :)

And my apologies for the French car analogy. :p:

The LCD screen reminds me of those factory automation computers. :D

If its user reprogrammable, then it would be fun though... :yepp:

I see a mod changed the title. BTW how do you write in caps in the title?
