December Photo Contest: Candids of People in Public Places

Photographs featuring people in candid situations in public places, not a picture of a street.
List EXIF stuff like shutter speed, aperture, ISO, focal length, camera model, lens, etc. if possible because some of us like looking at that stuff.

Three photos per person, poll will be up at the end of the month unless the military pulls a rude surprise on me and sends me off to BMQ before then.

Good luck!

Or can it be architecture?

Street photography is people

Street photography is people
It does not have to be. You're talking strictly candids of people.

Street is a much broader category and does not have to have people.

That's fine if that's what you want, but the thread title needs to be changed.

I am forum illiterate, how would I go about changing it to "December Photo Contest: Candids of People in Public Places"?

It's your call. I just thought that Street was a little confusing because people have different interpretations of what that means. If we're talking candids then we will lay that down as the rule :)

Why is that man stealing that kid's helmet? You take some interesting pictures...

Just kidding. Pictures with kids are usually always happy ones, as this one reflects. Nice snap! :)

By the way, is this in India, or just a heavily Indian populated area of Australia?

Well it's been zero degrees here for some time and its hard to even find time to get out and take these kinds of shots so...you won't see anything from me this month.

I didn't realize how stupid of a topic this was, considering the time of year, until a couple days after I decided on Street candids

Winter offers some of the most beautiful shots. I think it's a perfect time for a photo contest. Perhaps just the subject matter is wrong.

I don't think its stupid at all. But the subject itself will probably garner less participation than others due to its nature.

I don't know which one to vote for they are all good shots. I hope the portrait contest has more submissions. I would think it would be easy for someone to sit in a chair, but I could be wrong.

My problem with the portrait contest is that I don't have any good subjects to shoot :(

lol no that's not it. I don't have someone truly interesting to take a picture of. I guess I could take a pic of one of my friends overclocking or something lol.

that's what's so nice about this particular subject.
It's not about having something interesting to capture so much as finding something interesting. In other words, you don't need to have the idea yourself, just go to a city and let it happen. very good job though!
wish this topic was for february, i'd be in barcelona sweetness.
