The Money shot!

sadly i couldn't find my 3 way sli connector so I had to order it
so Im only running on two gpus right now...
I know its also a very small watercooling setup, but ive run out of room inside to add anything else hehe....
my lapping job dropped my cpu temps by around 5*c under load at 3.2ghz (400x8), hopefully now it will be stable at 3.6 with some more fiddling...

thanks for looking!

Looks good mate, but I know for a fact that you could fit a hell of a lot more in a case that size =) (*see sig*)

Is that an old phonograph in the BG of the "money shot?"

do you just have a 1x120 rad up top? or is the rad mounted somewhere.. and im blind and cant see it :D

not sure what that is... i did this work at my friends house.
Maybe I should rephrase my comment to "Ive run out of room inside to add anything else unless I massivley modify my case" :D
I plan on either getting a lian li 343b or a TJ07 to house my next build, whish should be within a couple months

hey langer I was wondering where did you get that slim line dvd drive and adapter in your prometheus build? Ive been looking all over for one for my next build

Question, why three GTX 260 and not two or three GTX 280s?

I always wonder does that middle card get hotter then the other two since it is sandwhiched in there??

well i got the 3 260's because they were $240 a piece compared to the $350-$450 for a gtx280, and 3 260's perform better than 2 280's and only a tad slower than 3 280's...
I like going all out, but im not made of money either :D

yes it does... it might just be my crappy setup but the middle card is roughly 5*c hotter than the other two at idle... not sure on load

hmmm those picts of you installing the blue rad didnt show up last time for some reason :p:, how does the rad preform? similar cooling capacity to a single 120 rad?

So Im guessing the only way to realyl cool this is to water cool it.. Otherwise I dont see how air cooling can do anything with it being in that spot.

I don't do SLI right now so sorry for all the stupid questions lol..

Lol i didnt even knew they make 2x80 rads. Nice setup, but i would be afraid of the sandwich setup of 260s, i would go with Fullcover blocks on them...

Thanks for the compliments!
I do plan to watercool them, but thats after I buy my next case and get some full cover blocks on them with a 3x120 rad to cool them.
Right now I don't o/c them because of how close they are together in that cramped area, I'll wait till I watercool them.

get a 480 Rad for the GPU's and a new case or externally mount it :)
