Please help me, im trying to OC my HP 530 with Intel Core 2 Duo T5200 processor, but i cant find any SW that could OC it. Neither SetFSB or ClockGen can read PLLs properly, because i dont know which clocken is inside. Can anyone help ?

I dont think that noone in XS overclocks their notebooks:shrug:

You can't.
I couldn't oc mine when I had an hp with a yonah 1.46G @133FSB cpu;
the only option left would be to pinmod it, but with the tight socket, we
couldn't do a non-destructive mod.

But, why oc? It will just drain your battery faster; not to mention that
it's the IGP and the HDD holding the performance back.

LOL :D i just love how peple ask why OC a notebook.... This is XS fot gods sake :D ive seen notebooks cooled under LN2 here, and for same reason i want to OC mine.

I made some progress in ClockGen, my system is hangs a few seconds later when i disable power saving...

However, memset doesnt work either :(

You could try looking for a custom BIOS that would unlock the settings controlling the CPU in the BIOS. But that's a lot riskier than software. Took me awhile to figure out what you meant by SW. Star Wars? Huh? :p

Well the custom BIOS is nowhere to find. And I cant even make my own, since i cant find .rom files to edit... This is usless... :(

first thing to do is add another 1gb stick with 15 euros :D
then, start thinking about overclocking

Use Clockgen or SetFSB, a few mhz you could reach

I dont need more memmory since the current setup cant quite use it. Im just curious IF i can overclock it.

As i said above, neither clockgen or stfsb works cause i cant find the right clockgen/they dont support the clockgen on my board.
