Don't know if European or Asian etailers already have this fan controller available for purchase but I'm excited that its finally in the states. Comparing this to my Sunbeam Rheobus extreme, one thing that definetly stands out is the way the molex cables are securely attached to the board, unlike a plug in pin design on the rheobus. One thing I'm curious about is why Lapmtron chose such small headspreaders and whether they are enough to cool down the components on the board when the controller is tasked to deliver max power per channel.

Looking to get one of these for my antec 1200 case and I'm wondering if anyone here already owns one of these units.

looks like people are noticing how much power we need for our radiators..

45 watts! My fans draw more than that.

270W on a fan controller... Next, they'll need to put a separate PSU into the controller!

Nice. Hope the black ones are around soon.

I've never been able to figure controllers that put out only 5 watt or so/ channel. And often have to take up 2 bays and/or charge you through the nose to do it. (hello NZXT?)

I wasn't expecting such small heatspreaders tho. (I thought it was undervolting that caused the heat?)

This looks ok,
but for the price, isn't worth it when the rheobus extreme can be had for less than $20
(check the deals section)
edit
someone should do a torture test/review of all these fan controllers, and pump some serious wattage through them to see how long they last.
What a fire hazard that test would inevitably be.
(watch out for exploding mosfets!)

Yea, except for the fact that the Rheobus Extreme is a complete piece of crap.

To each his own....

the old rheobus is only $8 !!!!!!!
(sorry to thread jack) (http://www.svc.com/bus-54-bk-24.html)
but yeah i consistantly run 32 watts (four .7amp fans @12volts) on one of the rails of my old rheobus, soooooooooo
can't say i'm not really happy with it.
The other six are spread between the other 3 channels.

Still, none of these bloody things can handle 6 Kaze Ultras [3000RPM] :(

I have the 4 channel Rheobus, 4 120mm*38mm and 2 120mm*(? but thinner) on 2 channels.

Errrr yeah they can. I have 6 on a Rheobus.

Now that I've seen it for a while, I do prefer this over the Rheobus.
