Well I've decided I'm going to switch the memory in my Black Ops and try out another kit because the OCZ I'm currently using seems to be the root cause of a number of erratic stability issues I have had.

So my question is which kit should I go for?

At the moment I am eying up the G-Skill http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-026-GS

Or the Corsair
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-159-CS&groupid=701&catid=8&subcat=145&name=Corsair%202GB%20DDR3%20DHX%201600C9DHX%20Twin 3X%20(2x1GB)%20(TW3X2G1600C9DHX)

I don't really want to spend more than £90 as my job pays :banana::banana::banana: all and I want to buy a new case as well. If someone can point me in the direction of a kit that performs better though for like a tenner more or even cheaper I would be hugely grateful for any advice.

Cheers in advance.

memoryc have a great 2GB cellshock 1600 kit for £80 inc p&p , with better timings than the two you have chose and overclockers want £95 for the same cellshocks:up:

Sweet, cheers for that. I'm going to bite the bullet and put the order through now. I have put off buying some new ram for so damned long!

In fact about a month and a half ago I went onto ebuyer with the objective to buy some only to end up with a Phenom and DFI M2RSH mobo.

Just remember Cellshock apparently died, not sure about RMA procedures there.

Bugger, I remember reading that about Cellshock a few days ago thats why my initial decision was to go for the G-Skill. Curse my brain for leaking information like a sieve

Oh well its ordered now I'll look into the RMA procedures to see if cellshock will still be honouring warranties.

SORRY CHRIS, I didnt see that coming. That explains the price tho , let us know if you find anything out about the RMA as I am running 2GB kit of the 1866 blues

Thats cool man its not your fault. I had actually read about Cellshock pulling out of the performance memory market a few days ago so its my own fault for not remembering.

Will investigate the RMA later on and post my findings here but I'm not hugely worried. The only memory I have encountered that has died or have received doa was OCZ so I'm not hugely worried.
