Cracked screen

Ok so i recently dropped a torch on my laptop. And a small crack appeared just like a little star, the sort you might get when a stone hits the car windscreen. But the crack is spreading and getting bigger. Now i think the laptop is still under warranty but the thing is it is a school laptop that i bought through lease but i have left school as of 3 weeks ago. So my question is do i go back into school to claim the warranty even though i might not get it back as it would take over a week which is when school breaks up?

i got the computer in a February so i think the warranty still has about three months cos it was a three year warranty and i got the laptop in 2006

Yeah, it seems that dropping something on the screen is 100% your fault. No warranty can help you here.

ahh but the thing is they don't have to know that i dropped something do they

i was bumped once and dropped my old computer down a flight of stairs once and it was covered so yes i think i do mean insurance

(it was 4 AM when i wrote that first post so cut me some slack guys)

Yeah they will almost definitely honor the warranty even though it was 100% your fault that it broke.
