Crucial is having me pimp this build out so they can show it at CES 2009 . . .they have an Asus P6T mobo and 965 Extreme pro, SSD drives and a new release from Palit (GPUS) with nickle DD blocks . . .I will deliver the Globe enclosure to SMooth Creations over the Turkey day break . . .

Here is the Globe with teh fiber-optic cities in place . . .have to take them out before delivery to Smooth . . .the cities will be lit by the custom Crucial Ballistix Tracer DDR 3 triple-channel ram . . .

Tomorrow I will use my rotozip (with attachment) to cut a hole for a 250mm fan in the top. . . there are two holes for 120 mm fans in teh bottom. Air flow will move upwards where air will exit from the hole in the North Pole (damn hole in the ozone there . . .Danger Den, Bitspower, and Feser will combat the Global warming . . .with some love from Performance PCS and other sponsors who will be listed later . . .

Here we go. The shell is at Smooth Creations being painted. I just received a care package from Crucial for the build:

- ASUS PT6 Deluxe mobo
- i7 proc: ES but I am told to expect a 965 Extreme
- Two Crucial 64 gig SSD drives (giving one to a buddy at Danger Den who designed the ram cover the acrylic innards of the mod)

Also have a block from DD but it is not the want I wanted (they have another one the way). This one is the TDX version.

http://img126.imageshack.us/img126/176/dsc009968292607ip7.th.jpg (http://img126.imageshack.us/my.php?image=dsc009968292607ip7.jpg)http://img267.imageshack.us/img267/1402/dsc009988309995ad9.th.jpg (http://img267.imageshack.us/my.php?image=dsc009988309995ad9.jpg)

Here I am taking off old stuff and getting holes drilled to attach one of the SSD drives. I have a nice air-brushsed Silverstone Zues (painted in colorshifting paint like the radiators) that will go in with UV green sleeving (sleeved for me my Performance PCS). Silverstone sponsored the PSU for the original Globe build.

The quickest way for a mod to notice and then move this thread is reporting it.

I wonder what the paint job will be like.

Got into the bios and CPU reads 2.93 so I guess maybe it is a 940 . . .sniffle. Did not think to see if the multiplier is unlocked or not. It is an ES so who knows

Anyways, installing Vista 64 ultimate on teh SSD now:

Got it on air just to verify the components work . . .still waiting on a GPU or two.

looks okay i guess, just out of curiosity,is cable management a low priority in your builds?
it seems the builds would look a touch better with some cleaner cable mgmt!!
my 2cents-canadian at that.

If you see a build with poor cable management then you see a pic of a build that is not finished ;). The Globe and Cherry X builds I did concurrently and brought them to the same LAN while still in progress. Come to think of it, I don't think I have any builds done except for Autopsy that are completely done ;) cable management is my weakest area tho.

Nvision was Autopsy and Daywalker, and Skulltrail Waterbox. Could not fit the Globe in the Uhaul.

Thx for the kind words

Let me know if you don't get the blocks by today. I will get another set out next day so you can make the show. Keep me posted, you should have had them last week.
