hi,
i was wondering if any 1 knows any software that converts avi to mpeg files?
i am talking about fims files here
if you do:
is it easy to use?
fast?
free?

There's a bunch of apps that will convert them...do a Google search and you will see, the hard part is FAST...none are very fast. Some are free. I moved on to DVD but try a 30 day trial version of TMPGenc...I used to use it but it is not fast. Start encoding and walk away for the rest of the day! Probably looking at 5 hours to encode 1 hour of video. Switch to DVD if you can...burners have become very reasonable price wise and the speed and capacity don't even compare.;)
