View Full Version : My Gigabyte Ud3r Wont Install Linux PLEASE HELP

my gigabyte ep45 ud3r wont install ubuntu....but if i plug in a hard drive with ubuntu on it the board will start up and run it no prob...but i want to dual boot with my new drive since its a faster wd caviar black 32mb...does any one have any suggestions....its not my first time loading linux and dual booting...any one else have this problem the ud3r or any other board and if you own a ep45-ud3r and it installed linux let me know

edd=off helped my 780g board. i just discovered this by accident ;)

but you might have to try a lot of switches like the one mentioned above and/or some other (modern) distros. maybe an "advanced installer" like the ones available with debian and ubuntu could solve the problem. worked once for me with a not so old box.
too bad there are sometimes small problems like this rendering the whole system unusable :(
