hey this is my first worklog and i dont have any picture taking skills so bare with me.....

pc specs:

cpu: q6600 @ 3.6

mobo: P5Q3 Deluxe

Ram 2x2gb gskill 1000mhz

GPU: x2 4870

storage: x2 wd 640gb raid 0 and x2 wd 1tb raid 0

psu: 800W BFG


Watercooling specs:

cpu block: GTZ

Rad: x2 mcr320

pump: x1 mcp 655 ( x2 ddc pumps coming soon)

res: ek 250 res

tubing: masterkleer

i think thats pretty much it.... now for the pics

i just sanded it down and sprayed some primer on it...

now im just waiting for it to dry so i can spray the flat black on it...

i should also be recieving some compression fittings and some gpu blocks in a few days from petras!

i'm using that case too, real nice for LC's, a lot of space in that case. love the V2000..

xTKxhom3r, why don't you take off all the case parts and take all the rivet off (and change it into screw, well thats me :D) ? in the first time, i wanna do excatly the same thing like you do, ust paint it, but i'm afraid the paint won't attach all the surface.....:yepp:

yea i was going to take them all off but :banana::banana::banana::banana: man it would be a pain to put it back together and the screws ins a good idea but its to late for that i already painted it and the paint doesnt come off you just have to sand it down<primer<sand<paint<wait....

ill upload the pics tomorrow im about to go out right now tomorrow most of my parts should be here so hopefully ill have it running i still need my ddc pumps though...

it's an ok price for the door but remember your going to have to cut the vents on the bottom for the rads.

today i went to lowes and i bought some plexiglass and some black tint and this is what i made :) i hope you guys like it suggestions welcome (i wish i had a real camera)

the glass is pretty reflective but my camera sucks...

i got a jigsaw today to tomorrow im going to cut the window and the vents on my side panels

ok after talking it over with a friend we decided i needed a name for this "project" so we decided on project X

so what i was thinking about doing was going to a place where they make vinyl stickers and getting one done to where the sticker is black and it has project x cut out vertically

and i would stick it in the back of the plexiglas that covers the 5 1/2 bays and then stick a white light back there so the letters kinda glow....

what do you guys think?

my only problem is that i cant draw and i dont know how to make designs on the pc....so i wanted to ask you guys if you can help me make some kind of design so that i can take it to the sticker guy to get it done :) thanks for your help

it prob is oem - that is about the going rate

but when in doubt - contact the mfgr

call lian li - ask for Daniel - he is very helpful - (800) 573-9820

you can even get the plus II door w/ window right around the same price - maybe cheaper - i just got one 2 months ago

yea those brackets were custom made... and thanks for the info but i decided to cut my own window instead... im going to have to cut the vents in the bottom for the rads anyways....
