xbox 360 modifications

hey guys, my parents recently purchased a 47" phillips 120hz 1080p hdtv :)

this coming black friday I am planning on buying an xbox 360
I am a newb when it comes to consoles, but I hear many are able to install their own hard drive into the console, and then make "backups" of the games they "own" so they can run them without inserting the disks

I am not planning on using the xbox for online play, I just want to play games like fifa 09, gta4, and some extreme sports games

what are some good skateboarding/snowboarding/bmx games out now?

i probably want to pick up a fighting game or wrestling game but im not sure whats good

the default controllers are the best, right? if not, what controllers should i pick up?

what accessories are must have? what do I need to mod the xbox? any guides you can link?

o and im def gonna get fable 2 , i loved fable 1

any help or game recommendation is appreciated

its not illegal (well if ur not in the UK its not illegal) and it goes against the rules

Well you need the disk still but its just verification if have the actual game still. With the new update you can copy the game to your HDD and it will be played off the drive.
