What's new XS,

I have a Swiftech MCP355 with a Koolance DDC top and I was wondering if this possible,

http://i152.photobucket.com/albums/s166/svcjames/HPIM2271.jpg

Instead of running a t-line T fitting between the rad and top inlet of my pump, would it be possible to open up the other inlet on my Koolance top (red dot) and have that bring in fluid? My fillport is dripped on the top of my case.

Then it would be going
radiator -> pump inlet 1
fillport -> pump inlet 2

then

pump outlet -> CPU -> chipset...

Am currently working on my setup right now and would nice to get this baby runnin' soon. Thanks a lot guys. :up:

It seems to be possible... Look at the in/out markings on the top and these photos.

Umm, I don't think you can run both as inlets, but I'm pretty sure you can use the two fittings side by side on their own but at a pretty significant performance hit.

Howdy guys,

Really, a.c? Didn't think there would be any decrease in performance if the 2nd inlet was feeding from a fillport,
but was afraid of something like that would happen so thought I would ask first.

with his mounting..i think that would make it perform better.....using two inlets...sounds good..keep feeding that pump..

nah you should be able to run it as a fill port, I did that on one of my X-Top's for the D5, same concept but different pump, but it was a PITA to bleed... ;)

No kidding? Man, slow bleeding is one of my pet peeves..ugh.

And must be the top you're talking, eh?

How was your pump positioned, gazmtk?

you'd kill it cuz you'd cause havok inside that top. Turbulance would get bad having 2 inlets like that drawing water.

I have a dual inlet DDC. well i should say DDCs

Correct, KaptCrunch. I meant T-line inlet as you said as I want it to act as a fillport.

That's pretty sicc, NaeKuh. Just curious, how many blocks and rads are you running through those dual pumps?

So per your example, if I want to use dual inlets for any DDC top, I can only use dual pumps as you did?

That is a specialized top designed for only 2 pumps

1 cpu block, 1 rad. :rofl:

thats why im xtreme.

And its a specialized top as he said. If you end up getting one, it wont fit the newer DDC's hence why my ddc impeller color is red.

uhhh how about you hardmount a res directly to the inlet, and use the side as an outlet like so?

Nice, bro! I think ima go for your EK res/pump setup as shown.

Thanks for the help, XS.

wouldnt it affect the water input? since the water suction is halfed each ...
