Everyone has said the same thing. Tomorrow, I reshoot.

Black or white background, do you think? And did I give enough info?

The information you gave was good and thorough. Experiment with white and black background, and be sure to use cool white bulbs, as the warm ones give off a yellow light.

Cool. All of my house is cool white fluorescent, as it's easier on mine and my wife's sensitive eyes. Hers were a genetic deal, mine are permanently fscked from pain meds and stuff. I really didn't realize at the time that they would be hard to see-I saw them just fine...

This is why I asked for feedback. I need to adapt my photography to better portray my subject matter.

The photos could be improved worlds just by simply whitebalancing. I'd be very surprised if your camera didn't have this function. They'll get better still if you use a matte background (I use some huge sheets of cardboard from an art and craft store), and use natural lighting if at all possible.

I can't take the credit for the DIY Lightbox link, BlueAqua gave me the link a couple weeks ago. I am almost done building mine.

Does anyone one here know a place in the EU that sell Bitspower products? Preferably one that also ships to Ireland.

Their products look amazing and I'd love to try some out.

A self-made lightbox type construction and some daylight quality lamps will make for great pics. Also, have a tripod handy for your camera.

I think the review is very well written and very informative.

Here's what, in my opinion, would improve the review (I realize not all of this can be done without substantial money-spending, but I'll list everything anyway):
- Show and describe how well two of these fittings would go next to each other on a waterblock with little thread-spacing.
- Describe if tubing fits on the barb very snugly or loosely. Show some pics using the same tubing on several different fittings including the one you're reviewing.
- Compare it to other 90-degree-fittings or other possibilities for getting a 90 degree bend in your tubing.
- Test how it impacts flow-rates. This is the toughest one to do. Ideally, you'd have different types of 90s fittings (about ten each) and set up a loop comparing the flowrates with an increasing number of each of the fitting-types. That way, the reader gets an idea of how much the fittings impact the flowrates and can compare it to other models.

I know that last one is no small feat, but it would be a great read! :-) Also, this type of testing is a good pretext to make sponsors give you more than one item for reviewing. ;-)

Slightly different take on the light box in terms of background and light, but unreal results. Wow. My Fufi F-31 is pretty sharp, so lets see if it will compare to some of these nice slr pictures.. I'll maybe try this out today.

Oh, I almost forgot: You asked about backgrounds.

I simply use white and black cardboard as a background. For light objects, I use the black background, for dark objects, the white background. Works great.

No, I have not.

Apologies to Kayin, but I have no such intentions.

The timing and circumstances nauseate me to no end.

Some of them cut the top off and apply paper and some leave the top solid. Any ideas what works best?

How well would these fit into the MCW60 and MCRES?

Use NPSM to G1/4 adapters.

I did some research. It seems you need a NPSM to BSPP adapter.

www.chilledpc.co.uk have them but they're all out at the moment. I'm finding it impossible to get 90 degree fittings at the moment, going to have to settle with rotary fittings.

With 2 45 degree rotaries, you will have a much gentler and less restrictive bend.

Working on the new stuff as we speak.

However, there's very little up to date here, so to speak. I was giving away all those 9/16 fittings because between them and a few Koolance compressions and some 3/8 DD fittings, it's all I have. I have G1/8, 9/16, and very little G1/4. So, I can do very little "testing" as it were. Also, everything I have is 3/8 now. So I went with what i could empirically measure.

that lightbox link is awesome. I have been looking for something like that. I'm going to have to make a larger version though as i need it to take pics of my case.

there isn't much else that I can add that hasn't already been said regarding the review. good info.

If you have a 3/8 x 5/8 BP compression fitting laying around could you compare outside dimensions to a 45* rotary. I am hoping the 45's are a bit narrower in diam. I ordered four from sidewinders yesterday but it would be great to get a heads up beforehand.

Sorry, I don't use thick walled tubing. All mine are thinwall.
