Help with nonRAID + RAID at MARS

Hi,

I'm trying to setup RAID with my Foxconn Mars mobo.

1. I installed XP Pro at SATA connected drive (channel 1)
2. I plugged in two 500GB SATA drives into channels 5 and 6, and set them up as RAID0 as one ~1TB volume
3. I chagned IDE to SATA at bios and now my nonRAID installed Windows gives me bluescreens as long as I won't switch back to IDE at bios.

What am I doing wrong?

I personally haven't tried raid but aren't you supposed to install windows after installing the raid config? Try google/wikipedia:p:

The problem was that Windows was installed using ICH9R @ IDE mode, and that I wanted tu make RAID of two another drives. After changing IDE mode to anything else I had bsod because Windows lacked of RAID drivers.
Solution: turn RAID on and plug Windows drive into eSATA (this is different controller). It will boot and manually install Intel's Matrix. Than You can switch drive back.
