I'll soon set up my new wc system and i need some imput first.
Here's the part :
Cathar's cascade wb
2 heatercore
A eheim 1048
A mcw50-t with a 172W pelt (i got it from major)
2 172mm papst

Soon to come a nb wb

Should i buy another pump and run two separate loop? Or can i plug the whole sys with one pump in serial or // or any other suggestion?
I want to get the best temp for the gpu and the cpu. Would it be a problem with one pump (at least until i get a pump if i need to?)

I would give it a try with what you have and if not happy with the temps, try putting that pelt on it's own loop. ;)
Just keep in mind that you might be changing setup when cutting your hoses so as not to waste any if possible.

Hose is not a problem, i've bought 10m (around 30ft) of tubing
Should i run it all in serial? What about the heatercore?

I would play around with different setups...maybe try series where one heater core is before the pelt and another is after it...then compare it to running both cores back to back...etc. I couldn't tell you what will be best...besides finding that out is the fun of it! ;)

Alright 10x dude i'll try that first. I still haven't bought a Y so i'll go serial. If i get a good price on a pump, i'll make 2 separate loop one for the cpu and one for the nb + gpu block.
Don't you think the pelt will add more heat to the water than my rad can dissipate?

It might.....but you have 2 Rads to play with. You may need more fans...try fans pulling with shrouds...maybe try a push/pull setup, etc.

I'll try that, i also have an envermax and another papst (both 120mm). Someone is setting up a grouped order of papst around me so i might some more.
For the moment the 172mm are running @12v but i'll prolly hook them on the meanwell as well so i can run them @24v (they're rated for 24v). @24v they push 200cfm each

Wow....200 cfm! I could use about 4 of those on my 24v meanwell also...do you know where I can get them?;)

I read an interesting psot here and that gave me the idea to go this way

pump-> heatercore 1 -> cpu block -> heatercore 2 -> chipset block -> gpu block -> pump
Everything serial, would that performs well?
This is until i buy another pump and make two loops

That's an interesting configuration and probably would do well. You would be cooling your fluid before your hottest point (cpu) and then the chipset should not heat the fluid much before it hits the hot GPU and then the 2nd rad cools it again. Sounds like the best possible serial setup using 2 rads.

That's what i was thinking, someone posted a thread about this here and it sounded like a great idea. I never thought about this before

I have a couple of rads lying around, I may just give it a try and stick one in my WC setup to help my heater core.

antipop,
Great deal on the pump...that's a strong pump, you're gonna love it. I already have my Danner3 and just got a Dolphin which turned out to be a nice pump too...but neither one rates like yours! Good find!:D
