965 DS3/9800GTX pci-e link width issue

I have just upgraded from 2900pro, which had no such problems.


The board is setting a x2 width link for some reason, which is destroying performance.

I have tried setting 105 and 110MHz PCI-E bus speeds, but that did not help it. I have also reseated the card and reset cmos. Board has latest bios.

Any ideas? Maybe increacing pci-e voltage would help? If so, by how much should I increace it?

I've tried fiddling with "robust graphics booster", MCH, FSB and PCIE voltages, but nothing makes it go.

EDIT: found a slightly newer, beta bios. Didn't fix it.
