BlackOps Shutdown bug?

Ok So I have my new build up and running.

updated bios and drivers using fox update software.

after updates when I shutdown in windows vista 64bit from inside logged in user the OS gracefully shuts down and the hard drives spin down( 2 raptor 150's in raid) but everything else stays on and the fans keep spinning.

Sometimes after I reboot the whole machine will power down when I click shutdown in the login screen.

Is this a bug or do I have a setting off? acpi?

WinXP 64 + P35 P5K-E does this too, it's most likely software related but it shouldn't be for a Vista system. Have you tried the fixes available on the net?

fixes? this is a clean install. vista is up to date as well.
