incredible PIV power

;)

KAin

try drivers 29.17 they seem the fastest

I tested a few and 29.17 are the fastest and [n8] uses them too

[n8]

whats you trick on dragotic im very close to you on every bench but that :)

my current score done 3 days after I got gf4 is in the sig ;)

i´ve been sharping my skills on GF4

and last night I tryed a bench

it was

8k3a 2312

11x 176 1946mhz

gf4 ti4200 306/621 clocks

chase low 194,8 fps
chase high 72,8 fps
dragoti low 208,3 fps
dragotic high CRASHED so i gave up
lobby low 188.1 fps
lobby high 86,5 fps
nature 69,9 fps

I always leave dragotic high for last it locked up :) (heat)

so i´m pretty much al over you on all benchs but dragotic ,
and dragotic seems to be the only bench that sounds right about your score , all other seem low compared you FSB (10x190) and ti4200 clocks (335/641)

i think you can do 13300+ on your current system with no sweat

ohh and 14mhz extra of fsb totally murder the advantage of having 46mhz extra of cpu ;)

Sweet. I need to get to some benching.

SKATAN,

That would be why then :)

I run drago first, since it is the only one that ever hangs me up, I like to get it out of the way ;)

P.S. I'm pretty sure there is more left in my system, the problem as of late has been time to bench :) I've been rather busy, but when that dies down and/or another amd passes me in the 4200 cat, I will be benching again :D

Running Nature first gives me a nice bonus score on that... hmmm it appears running the tests first gives a nice bonus.

P.S. Waterblock and new Ram Sinks arrive tomorrow... hopefully I will get a bench in before I take a week off and go away.

well my first bench isn´t drago low but you blow me away in both dragotics low and high :)

it must be the fsb and higher gpu clock

i just need higher fsb and ill beat your current score and push you harder ;)

just need decent ram :)

What do you mean by that dood? I understand running Nature first gives about a 3-4fps increase with me and I imagine it does with you too, but what did tha other comment mean?

Cheers
:)

I meant there must be some particular issue with 3dm cause whatever High test I run first gets a boost compared to normal...

I dont know how credible or true it is but I do know that sometimes a friend will say..."wow, I dont see that scene in my 3dmark2001SE" and now I know why....

You need to do multiple test runs with 3DMark2001 if you want a decently accurate result, because this benchmark has a bit of variance. If you're wondering where that comes from, pay careful attention to the barrel(s) bouncing around in the very first "Car Chase - Low Detail" test. Sometimes the truck hits a barrel after missiling the first flying bad guy, sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes the rolling barrel isn't even there for the truck to hit. In the next shot, one, two or no barrels can be rolling and bouncing around as the truck handbrake-turns into the next corner.

I don't know if any of the other tests have similar variability, and the variance is only slight; test runs seem to all be between about 1.5 and about 0.1 per cent of the average value, so a single test run will give you a decent result. When you're playing with small video card overclocks, though, 1.5 per cent up or down can significantly inflate or depress your results.

Comments? I think I agree with it cos I can do the exact same run 3 times in a row and get .2 variance of frames but my score will be up to 100 times less or more....

bloody 3dmark :D
hehehe

KAIN, sorry man I still dont understand?
:)

I noticed that exact same thing with the barrels rolling around actually. Sometimes one of the trucks hits the barrel and sends it flying, other times it stays out of the scene almost entirely. I think it has to do with the explosion when the big plane thinger gets blown up. The bits probably fly in a pseudo-random pattern, and sometimes one hits a barrel, which causes it to be in the scene for a longer period of time.

Nice score KAIN. Now I've got to get off my ass and beat 10K on my Ti500 ;).

KAIN, are you saying that your card is at only 325/625 and yet you can hit over 140 in drago hi and almost 76FPS in nature?
Car hi score of 88.6FPS at only 177x17 (3017MHz) is also around 5FPS too high (and yes 5FPS is quite a difference in that test..).

Just went thru a bunch of 3DMark scores done at 3000-3100MHz w/ Ti4x00 cards and none of them hit over 83.5FPS car hi except yours..
To get 76FPS in nature test you'd have to OC that card to 330/720 zone or so. AT 325/625MHz your card just wont do it (the mem speed is limiting the speed).

Also in order to reach over 140 in drago hi test you'd have to OC that card to 350/750 zone.

Do me a favor and browse thru these scores and you'll see what I mean:
http://service.madonion.com/compare?2k1=4063381
http://service.madonion.com/compare?2k1=3566685
http://service.madonion.com/compare?2k1=4229752
http://service.madonion.com/compare?2k1=4280115
http://service.madonion.com/compare?2k1=4149680
http://service.madonion.com/compare?2k1=3513277

Now I have two questions:
1) Can you duplicate your score?
2) If so can you tell us how in the hell your getting so much better scores than any of us?? :D

No offence but I just think that there is something wrong w/ that score. Most likely a 3DMark software bug?

i'd have to cheat and use my prometeia i'm afraid ;)
193x16 goes fine ... I'll just have a cheapo Ti4200 tho, maybe the core will go to about 320 but the memory'll be slow
I have no intention of being record holder in the 4200 class... just see where I can get with the new dets. We all gotto relieve the boredom until the "big" cards get here. But then I intend to do some damage. I wont settle for 3rd lol. After the whole history of my name being dragged through the mud with "fake" 3D scores by a certain person on VRZ team, its gotten personal... lol
