fter the competitions in Europe, South East Asia, China, and Korea, there will be 13 teams waiting for you on achieving the best performance of the MSI P45D3 Platinum Mainboard and MSI N9800GTX Plus Graphics card.

for the contest itself it will be very short : 3 hours of set up and after 50 minutes for SPI 8M and 50 minutes for 3Dmark 2001 :shocked:
I hope we will have the components in the hotel to mod it.

1) I don't have any contact information

i dont know what is going on with Team Australia 3DMARK01 run....i doubt that deanzo and josh couldnt get efficiency in that bench....must have been some issues with the rig or cards :confused::confused::confused: their time is a lot slower than other teams in '01 yet 1M SuperPi was pretty competitive

As far as i know, Indonesia Team running the Super PI @ 6 GHz clock and Alva (Lucky_n00b) inform me that they are the only team who can managed bench Super PI at 6 GHz ++ speed

Hah, hah, hah......You don't know the MSI P45 mobo, that's why you say so...... :D

We used to bench at ~645MHz FSB the Super-Pi 1M and at ONLY 605MHz FSB all 3Ds....MOST of the guys were benching 3Ds at 560 - 590MHz FSB.... :D
That's a VERY HUGE gap between 2Ds and 3Ds....
So I think that your guys are totaly excused...... :)

Great competition by MSI.
they chose the right benchies and the right hardware for a fun overclocking time.
they have looked after us all very well and the venue was very well presented.

Goddy (Vivi) and i had an epic battle with the Taiwanese team for '01 which we managed to lead near the end....only to have gprhellas and gorriloks take us out in the last 3 minutes with a great rerun on car low.

thanks to all the sponsors and particularly MSI for a fantastic competition.

also its been great to see some friends again and to make some new ones too...the Indonesian team helped us a lot...as did others...great spirit was displayed by many of the teams.
the french boys were even running my old gpu block :D

i should have taken a photo of the super-ghetto NB block we made with just a piece of insulation tube attached to what remained of the stock NB 'sink...it worked perfectly and kept the NB at any temp we wanted throughout.

and hipro man..i keep coming to these things in the hope of meeting you but you never there :/ ...but i understand pesonal issues again.

i had some nasty experience with MSI boards before......overclocking would have been a bonus
i couldnt install windows let alone anything else (P35/X38) during an OC show a while back now

Hi guys,

We're now still at the hotel after the dinner...probably we will go out for some drinks later tonight ;)

We're actually just 100% lucky today, got a chip that can do 620x10 in SPi 1M @ 1.83 V, and 600x10 in 3dm2k1se, 856/1998/1236 CPU (we only use watercooling)

At the preparation stage, we've run into some problems, so we don't have time to vmod the vcore , vgpu, and putting pot to our gpu..(and after we managed to mount the pot, we got problems with our motherboard, and we run out of time :( )

For me, I think gprhellas is the true champ of this event, with the chip that got lower clocks than us, he managed to get 2nd place, with only less than 1% difference..if he got our chip, it's him that definitely will be the winner..

well then, i'll post some pics later when i got home..

hell! nothing to say infact but i cannot do.. it was very easy to bench 1M at 626+ with multipliers lower than 10X, but somehow when we set multiplier to 10X, system even couldnt boot at 510+. So only way to run setfsb to 5.8ghz 1m by booting at 5.1ghz, although with exactly the same settings(i had written them on paper) i was benching at 6.1ghz+ spi 1m and 5.9ghz+,8800gts@1126-2700-1080 3d01 easily at home before the contest.

Tapei really cursed us for these oc contests...:mad:

i had thought Greece had the first place when we re leaving but well, congrats the all partitions except us :shakes:

Hard to run 3D when the PCI-e slot is full of water :doh:

CPU ran fine at -150 (never did find it's cold bug) but the NB had a coldboot bug of -50, but ran the best at -100 in windows.

After the first 3D lockup we had to re-heat the north bridge pot back to -50 but there was ice at the bottom of the GPU that was melting (unknown to us) into the PCI-Express slot - sigh :(

Hard to run 3D when the PCI-e slot is full of water :doh:

CPU ran fine at -150 (never did find it's cold bug) but the NB had a coldboot bug of -50, but ran the best at -100 in windows.

After the first 3D lockup we had to re-heat the north bridge pot back to -50 but there was ice at the bottom of the GPU that was melting (unknown to us) into the PCI-Express slot - sigh :(

Sorry mate I deserve that 100% my fault -_-... in the time before my flight i got stressed and forgot my 2 externals webcams with 5m USB cable... Huang a chinese speaking contact bring me a Logitech webcam especially to do the broadcast... Nest time that would be better :D

Next time you'll something far better :D I'll have some "special" stuff to connected directly on the TV-like hardaware ;) and a better bendwidth reservation especially for the broadcast. so better view and better quality !

guess its about time for me to post something in this thread! My name is goddy im part of the south african overclocking team, all i can say is this was a great event. all in al it went well, no one expected the boards to do 630 fsb 4 boards were north bridge cooled and 3 of them did 620+, so that was nice. Indonesians, very very glad they won they deserve it, GReat guys and very good clockers.

we killed our 1st boad before we event booted it , that sucked. so we quickily insulated the second board, but we thought out nb pot killed it cause of tight mounting or something, so we didnt NB pot it again,what we didwas keep the stock heatsink mounted, butripped of the heatpipes and stuck a insulation tube over the block just so we can pour ln2 on the thing. worked great til the end! graphics did 1000 nature 01 at 1.44v -30 which i thnk was great, we where batlling the taiwanese for 1st place 01, they where on 6ghz cpu we 5.72, but our gpu was higher. was really exciting and eventually we got our 1st spot in 01, til 3 minutes before competition end the greeks uploaded a score 103 points higher than us ! big ups to them! our PI wasnt too hot so that gave us 4th ovral

First I want to apology for non posting often but I am not a good writer so please accept my apology for that.
I must to agree to all of you that this competition was very impressive and good organized. This was the first world competition for me - except the previous one in Europe with hipro5.
I meet again the France team and the Turkish friends which we come together with the same airplane.
It was a very long trip, almost 26 hours on airplane but believe me, it worth it to the last minute.
I meet all of you guys and I am very proud for the filling that gave to me inside in my heart.
I am not going on details right now.
Congratulation to the winner team, believe me they are very good overclocker than me.
A big thanks for the hospitality to the MSI crew, they show to us that big companies can act with human face if they want - Thank you for everything.

I must really say i enjoyed the event bigtime. And even though Team Indonesia might have drawn the lucky 13.. :-) they did a lot right in my opinion. They didn't focus to much on tweaks, and just went straight ahead and found the max, then did some small adjustments, and got even higher.
The battle was really between Greece and Indonesia the last hour, and personally, and as an european I am glad that George and Vasilis pulled off hte 01 score 1 minute before the battle ended.
Really nice to meet all you guys on asian turf.

Looking forward to next years contest, which is allready in the planning stage...
