View Full Version : Safe 3.3v (measured from mobo or multimeter?)

Hey there,

I have just done the PSU 3.3v mod (about to do the 5v one as well :)). I've read that 3.5v is the safe limit for 24/7 for the 3.3v rail... However, nobody has made clear whether this is the multi reading or the motherboard reading. For example, my multimeter is currently reading 3.42v, whereas my NF7-S (Rev 2) reads 3.31. Which one can I raise until it hits 3.5v?

Hope to get a quick answer (so I can raise thing to kingdom come :D). :toast:

Thanks,
Mike

I would measure from the ATX connector.

Whoo, ok, I'm over then. :( (multimeter reads 3.53v) BIOS only reads 3.4v... But I guess I don't really NEED 3.4v anyway.

Any other comments?
