I need the X58 board to win the X58 board. hehe :D Maybe I'll be able to do that assuming the November 17th date holds. The problem is I don't think I could get running, run it stock for awhile to make sure everything is OK, and then OC it in time. I'd also have to get the water loop up and running.

Phase and LN2? No way. That's a separate class. I wouldn't even attempt to compete against Phase or LN2. Ambient and Subambient are two completely different worlds apart. Ambient cooling wouldn't stand a chance against that kind of cooling power.

Actually, you don't actually NEED to load up viruses and ad-ware... Just make sure you have a fresh pre-SP2 Windows XP install and have your machine connect directly to the Net.

Last time I tried that (right about when XP SP1 was launched, I managed about 20~30'' without having the dreadfull "Your computer will be restarted in 0:01:00" message... hehe

AFAIK, that window has shrunk to about half the time over the years for the same kind of machine, so that doesn't seem a very good contest... hehe

Unless you're trying to find out how many thousands of viruses/worms/spyware/general malware and bloatware you can stuff into a machine in a set amount of time, or before it becomes completely unusabe... :p: That would be nice... hehehe

Let's see where this is going, shall we? I wished for once regular Joe Shmoe with no OC mastery could win something...

Still, a nice thing for you guys to remember the 75%+ users not on the US... I mean, just limiting the country of origin skews the results, there is a much smaller pot to draw from...

Was that a direct connection to the Net, like with a USB ADSL modem? Most Internet acesses these days are made through routers, and even if they have a lousy firewall, it filters out most "easy" malware.

Though, if that really was a direct link, it's amazing... Perhaps the ISPs are starting to do something about that one?

Oh, btw, where is my prize? Wasn't it supposed to be here by now? :devil: :rolleyes:
