I want to know what are the safe voltages can be used 24/7 and do I need to up the SB volage and the CPU VTT voltage for better stability?

morn info needed up the voltage for what ??

explain what you are doing

It depends on what clocks you'll use and especially when using air cooling. Yes CPU VTT will help you be stable.

So, what is your target clock?

I'm at 456x9 = 4.1Ghz now but when I was running Super-PI 32MB, the PC restarted itself.

My Voltage are:
CPU Voltage Multiplier: 1.000v
CPU Voltage: 1.3275 (bios) 1.30v idle and 1.28v load in Aegis
Dram Voltage: 1.98v (bios) 2.00v in Aegis
NB Voltage: 1 notch above default, 1.283 (bios) 1.30v in Aegis
CPU VTT Voltage: Default
SB Voltage: 1 notch above default: 1.583v

nb up to 1.5v eye dont run under that

HDCHOPPER,
Should I leave the SB Voltage and CPU VTT Voltage@ default?

What stepping do you have in your processor? I think you need to crank that voltage little by little.

it is an E0 E8400 Q820A757

Ok. You have a lot of room.

Instead of increasing your vcore, you can use CPU VTT for stability but don't push to high. Don't set it on RED, a notch can do.

Voltage is the key there.

What about the SB voltage, does it have any effect for better stability?

hail voltage

As far as i know, SB Voltage are those PCI Bus, USB ports, the clock, sata/IDE controller, and other devices.

So obviously SB Voltage are being used on devices. Hehe.

Hope this helps.

better to leave the SB voltage at default (1.500v)?

It depends on how many devices are connected to your computer that if it is needed to add voltage. Hehe.

ya ..and vtt around 1.20v ~ 1.275v my 8400 doesnt like any higher vtt

vtt is the fsb interface voltage, sortof, so more will help you to get a higher fsb stable.
too much can kill the cpu however, well actually the cpu is still there, you just cant talk to it anymore cause the interface is fried :D
afaik 1.6v vtt is in the red zone, 1.5 should be fine, but if you want to be super mega ultra sure your cpu wont ever get damaged better keep vtt at 1.4v or thereabouts... some people reported dead cpus with more than 1.3v vtt iirc, but those were most likely caused by something else, and another thing is those cpus were early steppings or even engineering sample cpus which tend to be more sensitive to voltages.

ive never seen sb voltage make a difference but some people say it helps them to get higher clocks stable.. so thats something you can try...
but overall id say dont just set your voltages high and then see if it works, and if it does just keep them that way.
always try to use as low voltages as you can, only as much as is necessary... :)
