What are the good cpu cooling heatsinks that fit on Mars without problems without adjusting the northbridge heatsink?

Zalman CNPS 9700NT is ok.

I think TRUE can fit also. Let's confirm it with saaya or HDChopper, these guys are good. :D

ya that should clear .. depending on how you mount it you might have to remove the top window off the nb

like chopper said, just remove the cover on the side of the mars heatsink if its in the way, you can slide them out :D

I think its important to select a cooler with a 4-PIN FAN that the fanspeed is PWM controlled. There is no speed controll with a 3-PIN FAN at the CPU FAN plug (it is 100% all the time -quite noisy)!

My Xigmatek S983 heatsink works fine. Its not too big and it cools fantastic because of that 2900 rpm max FAN speed.

Do you have the Intel boxed cooler on your E8400 now? How high is your CPU temperature (case) on load?

I got the CNPS-9500 and it is nice, now the temp max are 55c, before with intel boxed cooler, the temps were 75c

i love those zalman heatsinks... :D
they are beautiful and cool really well... and they cool the pwm and memory and help pushing hot air out the case :D
they are a tad expensive tho... :/
