View Full Version : Motherboard detect 1CPU then 2 CPU?

Once I open my PC, at the first boot screen it says CPU: 1 Core then changes to 2 Core in 1 sec, is that normal?

eye uasually only see that to that extent after a failed oc

it is not OC failed for me, it just shows 1CPU then Changes: 2CPU instantly.

yeh mine does that, except for me its 1 -> 4

although most boots i dont even see the screen cos the blackops takes ages to turn the screen on and my screen is lazy

your blackops doesnt turn the screen on, the screen turns itself on :P :D

and yes, the core thing is normal, i read in intel docs about it and basically during early initialization one core is picked as the primary core and then used to boot the early steps of the bios, and then it enables the other cores.

so basically one guy pulls the short straw and has to get up and prepare breakfast while the rest of the pack keep snoozing until he wakes them up :lol:
