Welcome to XtremeSystems my friend....glad to have you aboard:)

With the unlock job on the XP2200+ you should be able to achieve any level you want with your system, provided you have great cooling. These T-breds run hot when overclocked...so make sure you have good case cooling with plenty of intake and exhaust ventilation. I'm not experienced with the Volcano HSF...but I would think the Swiftech MC462 or Alpha Pal 8045 may be better solutions with a T-bred...especially in an overclocked environment.:)

Volcano 7+ - great HSF!! I have experience with the alpha 8045 and swifty mcx462 and giving a choice I would take the volcano any day!!!

And also,
I bought one of those inexpensive 75w peltier socket A HS/F units off of ebay. How do they work, and how big a power supply will i need? This plugs into a fan plug connector.
Also, my gigabyte 7vrxp mobo has multipliers on the board, auto -12.5 does this lend itself well to oc'ing? And is there a oc'd speed for the 2200 that retains reliability, game play ability, etc. etc.?

Don't use the TEC on the CPU, it just doesn't have enough power to keep it cool. Might be good for your video card though.

As to Volcano 7+....it's a Tt product. Need I say more ;)?

I would suggest going with the SLK-800, AX7, PAL8045T, or MCX462. They are the top 4 heatsinks for the athlon at the moment.
