Sign in people, nominate the useless PC HW of 2008...
I'd start by listing a few;
ASUS P5E3 Premium
OCZ Cryo-Z (that joke never dies)
FOXCONN Blackops (retail)

500 variations of the same, see asus and gigabyte mainboards, they arent necesseraly bad... just too many useless sku's.
Next one is a bit predictable...
Nvidia 750i and 780i chipsets, hot, slow + data loss when oc'd.
DFI being very late with Mainboard releases.
Lower End graphicscards are still too far behind the likes of 9800 or 4850.

AMD CPU's, surely they could've done a little better. They caught many with their pants down for the 48XX series.
