Hey guys heres my latest invention. I made the base with a waterjet and the top with a router. This block fits my EVGA 680i. Let me know what you guys think.

looks cool, i wish i knew how to make blocks.

is there going to be an accelerator that shoots the water into the grooves?
or is the water just cooling the surface? really wonder how temps will be if that's the case.

awesome that looks really nice  great job

The slots are for more surface area and to create turbulence. I am working on a CPU block that will be much more functional.

maybe lap the block surface down further too if you so wish. I know it may not be as important on a chipset block, but definitely for a CPU block it will make a difference to have the block nice and shiny smooth:up:

This is only a test piece I will lap the bottom on the final ones.

Awesome work.

Do you have the ability to work with Acetal/Delrin?

The top is made of Delrin

Awesome block.
Why donīt you go into blocks production, or you can make designer aftermat tops for us.
Am still looking for where to get custom delrin top for my nb/sb blocks.

Wow, that is pretty nice. That plate looks pretty thin but with excellent precision. I hope to see more from you in the future.

I don't have the funds to purchase motherboards for mounting dimensions or blocks to design aftermarket tops.

bei...

you need to start shifting over to the full board blocks. (North + south)

Like how bitspower and eVGA have been coming out.

You have great work and i think you could make an awesome full board block.

maybe i can help ya out next time on both.

Seems like your ConUS too, which is a very big plus and reason why.

Unfortunately all my boards are being used for the october surge on WCG.

But i'll keep ya in mind the next time i get a new board or something free's up.

<3 helping out custom builders.

I donīt think that EK and Swiftech buys all the motherboards to produce their waterblocks.
I believe if you can prove that some of your blocks can perform close to the others in the market, maybe someone might help out with the money. Think about producing delrin tops for those that hate acryl tops, for a start.

Wow, you're cutting that with an endmill? I'm impressed, don't think I've seen too many CNC blocks with pins that small that havn't gone to a slotting saw.

Awesome work!!!

Very nice!

Will you tap the barb threads with a drill 'n tap set?

Looks great! I'm sure you have a market here... you could probably make some extra dough if you wanted!

This was done with a waterjet. I couldn't get an endmill that small. I am using a combination of waterjet and router for the CPU block I have in teh design stages now. I will get some preliminary photos of the cpu block shortly.

I haven't tapped the top yet, I am still waiting to see if the is the final piece.

Bei, Is there some sort of insert for the top? I ask because if you leave the inside of the top open like that, you'll get very little flow through the pins. Otherwise, very nicely done.

The pins were done with this block to test my idea for the cpu block. I am not really concerned with flow through the pins since it will only cool the north bridge. Thanks

absolute WOW.

And the rough pits will also add surface area, and provide turbulance.

What would be the most popular board to make blocks for? I can do a full NB/SB and mosfet if the board layout permits.

Bojamijams

X48 Rampage Formula and P35 Maximum Formula I think are the two most common .. then the 780i/790i behind it

This is the block I am making for my EVGA board. I should have it done soon and post some real shots of the block

ROFL if you could only make a 780i version. The problem is the pci-e 2.0

i know 5 people on this forum that would buy it in a heart beat.

the design looks great, but as a community we need to push for more i think we have about got all of watercooling down. Now we need to push for more on the lines of design and aesthetic
we know the design works, but can you make it work while stepping away from the traditional look that every block as?
i dont know what your fabrication limitations are, imo i think you could take the aesthetics to another level

How did you setup the waterjet to not totally cut through the block while making the pins?

Bojamijams

Isn't the SB extension on the wrong side of the NB? I got the 750i and the SB is right of the NB and down, not left.

i think your looking at it wrong, rotate the block in your mind counterclockwise 90*

oh barbs vertically.. thats interesting, usually they're always horizontal... okay gotcha thanks evil :)

The model above was done in 30 minutes and I reversed the orientation of the block while combining the top and bottom. Flip the whole thing over and that is what the block will look like. More to come.....

shouldnt you put the inlet at the nb and outlet at the sb???

Not if you need the room for dual slot cards.
