ok in some of the members sigs they have a like to join the IRC channel or something like that - all those links are dead
and what is that anyway?
Well it's a chat program basically.
You can download it at www.mirc.com
We're on the IRC server quakenet.net - channel #xtremesystems
One easy way to get on is to just install mirc and click here (irc://irc.quakenet.org/xtremesystems).

lol, the links are dead because to get into IRC you have to have IRC installed, basically that link tells your browser to initialize IRC and if it doesnt find it, it 404s.
If you have IRc installed click the link
and it should let you on.

No one is there? Well there are usually at least 30 people idleing in there and 40 people in there at bust times. Are you sure you connected to Quaknet?
Run mIRC, type:
/server -m irc.quaknet.org
then:
/j #xtremesystems

Also, put these in perform under options:
/mode (your nick here) +x <-- Hides your IP
/ignore -wd * <-- Protects you from a mIRC Hack thats been going around

/mode +x is useless. (If you want to do it, have a false sense of security :D)
If he downloaded mirc just now, he doesnt have to :)
If you really want to feel secure just use bnc and connect through a proxy. :D

btw jmg........ mIRC says you have an eval. version and that you have to pay after 20 days ect..... its not required u can just close the ie window :idea:
