I have 2 sets of 2x 1gb sticks of the cheap pc6400c4 ram and today while taking down my am2 pc and throwing in a maximus II board i noticed the stickers are a lil different on the two pairs. on my am2 pc i've had all 4 stickes OCed to ddr2 880 at rated timings and voltage of 4-4-4-12 2.1v. on the bottom set in pic, any idea what the "G" stands for?

from this link in one of the stickies http://www.houseofhelp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=57334
i see that at least the top pair has ELPIDA IC's 64MX8 Rev.H

The G was for GREEN indicating that we had gone to ROHS compliant solder.

No day in which we learn something is a wasted day. Therefore, we can all go back to sleep now. :yawn2:
