I'm currently collecting my part list for my first WC build (http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=202524) and during my search for parts someone mentioned that 1/2" ID (3/4" OD) Tygon A-60-G norprene tubing tends to like to kink more than other Tygon tubing. I was hoping to get some additional opinions on this... preferably from those who have used it.

Thanks!

You are correct it does kink easy. If you want black get R-3400. Its shinny but does not kink as easy.

Been using it for more than a year.

Running the bend form my cpu block to my core only gpu block is almost to the point where it wants to kink.

Coils prevent this entirely.

I love the tubing, I run pure distilled with NO additive whatsoever and when I drained the loop to replace 2 fittings after just under a year of use it was totally clear.

I just switched to norprene and love it:

The 1/8" wall stuff does not kink easily at all.

Thin wall kinks very easily. I originally wanted to use the norprene stuff for my current rig, but after attempting to use it I had to send it back for good 'ole R3400. It looks good, but it's just not suitable for in-case WC application. I can't personally vouch for the thick-wall stuff, but I imagine that the situation is improved.

This is the tubing I was considering: http://www.petrastechshop.com/1id3odtyanot.html

However, I might try this instead: http://www.petrastechshop.com/1id3odtyruvr.html

I'm not interested in kinking at all. ;)

Worked fine for me...

The thin wall stuff is rubbish and is useless without coils. The 3/4" stuff is the only flavor I would ever consider using.

neoprene is prolly the easiest to kink out of all the tubing the r-3400 is way better.

w.e you get make sure you get 1/8 inch walls, so if you get 1/2 inner dia it should be 3/4 outer dia.

Neoprene also lasts the longest, has a very slow rate of coolant evaporation, doesn't stain, allows you to forgo additives, makes your loop maintenance free, and looks bad-arse to boot.
