Hey everyone.

Been wanting to start a water cooling project for ages but just never got around to it (between loosing items in the post and work), but finally put my foot down and bought the basis of the entire system today - a black, windowed TJ07. The build is quite complex so here is the theme: I wanted something that I can invest a lot of time into (hence the name SinkHole) so I intend on doing a lot of modding (get to that later) so I will probably find things on the way or decide not to do other things.

Components
So far this is what I want/ and what I've piece mealed together:
x48 Motherboard - DFI x48-T3RS
Quad Core Intel - Q9550
DDR3 Ram - 2x2gig Patriot Viper 1333DDR3 (in the post)
Graphics Cards - 2x 4850's
Temjin TJ07 - Lying in pieces all over the floor (Painting)
PSU - TX650 Corsair (end of the month)
2x fan controllers - (Dont have. Will probably mount them internally and not change them)

<more to follow later >

Cooling
The idea for the cooling is a dual loop with a 120.3 for the CPU and chipset and a 120.2 for the graphics cards. Cooling gear as I invision it:
120.3 Rad - (Dont have. MCR320 QP)
120.2 Rad - (Don't have. MCR220 QP)
Pump 1 - (DCC3.2 with a Petra head waiting at the post office)
Pump 2 - (Dont have. Will more than likely get the exact same as pump 1)
Res - (Dont have. Was thinking of a pair of Swiftech micros [ease of use as the loops are independent] or a central, bigger res. Worried about routing with a shared res)
CPU Block - (Dont have. GTZ hands down)
GPU Blocks - (Dont have. MCW60's I think. I want the case to be able to adapt to new hardware so I don't want to commit to full face blocks)
Chipset - (Dont have. Get something sexy here. Maybe those epic BP full sets)
Tubing - (Dont have. Probably Tygon clear. Will be braiding the tubes so the color/coolant is irrelevant :p)
Fittings - (Dont have. Aiming for a boat load of compression fittings. Might need some elbows on the radiator at the bottom)
I have 6 Sunon fans that will tear the hair right out of your scalp. Hopefully find a home for them in here somewhere :p

Intended Mods
Here is where I intend to go crazy. Half of the things I list here I dont expect to work but its more of a list of concepts that I want to try.
Colour code the inside of the case. Probably black but I want to explore polishing things here. Would love a polished black interior.
Replace the panel that splits the two compartments with 'something else' :p also a polished panel of an acrylic panel.
Install some sort of shielding on top of the top graphics card incase of some micro leaks.
Maybe some sort of clear panel over the entire motherboard (okay now I'm rambling :p)
As I stated above, I want to mod the glory out of the PSU. Recut all the cables perfect length. Terminate them at the back of the motherboard plate and then sleeve the extensions on all cables that are visible (24pin atx, 4pin, 8 pin, 6 pin Sata).
Braid (sleeve) the tubes
Mount the 320 and 220 in the lower compartment. See how that goes :p (Murderbox Style)

<updated>

Thanks guys.

B@allz0r - thanks for your TJ07 build. Gave me a lot of logistical ideas :D Feel free to call me out on anything that you think I might have a problem with.

Okay here is an update with some (not too great) pictures:

Here is the TJ07, just arrived, and the packaging is HUGE! MASSIVE! Here it is in said huge packaging.

And here it is out of the box. It really is a premium case. Best I've ever handled.

But a few short hours later and this is what it looked like. I have to admit the fact that almost every item is screwed in is a mighty boon for modders. It makes painting and individual modding an absolute breeze. Bravo SilverStone.

I did a quick spray paint test on the back of one of the hard drive cages that I wasn't going to use to see how a flat black would look and I think that it came out quite great. At this point I'm considering to spray the inside opposed to powder coating.

Some other items:
Here is the DCC that I finally got yesterday after waiting for it 6 months  Customs really schooled me on that one.

Speaking of the DCC, I'm a noob here so I just want to check a few things: I attached the PetraTech top and does it matter which way the top is mounted? Also This is a pic of the Outlet point. Does it look normal to you guys?

Here is a pic of the BIX3 with three Arctic fans. I'll be taking off the grills before it goes into the case.

Here is on of the Sunon fans.
http://us1.cho-jin.net/images/sinkhole/sunnon.jpg

And here is a comparison between the Sunon's and the Arctics.

Thats all for now. Hopefully get some painting done tomorrow.

Good luck with the painting. I love a nicely painted interior. The TJ07 is probably one of the nicest cases I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with, you made a great choice.

Paint your fan grills too if you plan on using them. ;)

The orientation of the Petras top shouldn't matter, but I usually face the outlet on the opposite side from the wires.

Awesome another TJ07 build - love this case:up:

Can't wait to see what you do with it:yepp:

The Petra's top is normal, I believe they did that for the added head pressure... I could be wrong... mine looked just like that anyhow. Looking forward to more!

nice paint job Jim Morbid
you didn't apply primer first?

Wow I didn't know about the pump top outlet. I didn't even look at my XSPC pump top. I wonder if it's the same lol. Oh well, I doubt it does any harm.

Sorry for the lack of updates. Crisis in the real world has been keeping me hellishly busy :P

Anyway, here is a quick pic of the sleeving I've been doing on the 24 pin extender cable that comes with the Silvertone (for running dual PSU's).

http://us1.cho-jin.net/images/sinkhole/20pin.jpg

I learnt a lot from that little job and I think when I'm finished I'll consolidate all the issues (for example I can still see through the sleeving and the colour of the underlying cable) and so a proper one. Lot of extra work but so we learn :p (if anyone wants to buy a 24 pin in a few days let me know

Also found someone here that can help me sort out some fabrication (Thanks Deadmeat!) so I'll be looking into what can be done on that front over the weekend.

Sorry for the lack of updates - been busy and this exchange rate has basically shut me down. But here are a few updates: (will add pics tonight)

Got my motherboard (DFI x48 T3RS). Its nice and black so should fit in nicely with the rest of the look of the build.
I'll be picking up two 4850's tonight for some crossfire action.
Got a Q9550 at a great price from a friend (your my hero Mons)
Have 4gigs of Patriot 1333DDR3 on the way

Basically all I need are a second 500gig, Corsair TX650, DVD writer. Should pick them up at the end of the month. After I have the basic system in place I'll start firing up the cooling

On the case side of things - I'm not too happy with how the sleeving is turning out because the color of the underlying wire is showing through. I'm playing with the idea of painting each wire black so that even if it can be seen beneath the sleeving its still black.

I've also been thinking about two-toning the setup black and red. Basically sleeve the tubes black going to the CPU (or get black tygon) but use red liquid and use clear tubes when connecting to the GFX cards. The cards boards are red so it will look less out of place by two-toning.

Also because the Viper memory modules are silver I think I'm going to get and paint a OCZ ram cooler black, replace the blue leds to red, covering up the silver heatsinks.

As always, you input is always enjoyed :D

That is some nice parts there Jim

If you are a little uncertain about the red dye you could always look at getting red tubing and just run distilled with maybe a small dab of PT_Nuke for good measure. Just my 2c

Sounds like things are starting to come together for you - looking forward to some pics once you get the remaining parts to fire her up.
