well... im bored so its a new cpu for me :D i was wondering how well the 2200+ were overclocking. i dont have a pelt (yet) so were talking water/bong cooling. my temps on my agoia 1600+ are good. 1950mhz @ 2.150vcc is 36C load (1750mhz @ 1.80vcc is 31C load)....

i was also thinking 1800+ or 1600+ from newegg but 2200+ is top of the list :)

I've only tryed the 2200 with Xtreme cooling and they did about 2200-2250 stable. Youve got good cooling so my guess would be about 2100-2150 on your rig.
Nice 1600 BTW :)

OPP what were you using when you OC'ed that T-bred for cooling. Sorry to jump the thread but I was interested in getting one with a 226w swiftech block and pelt. The mcw462-ut. How much does cpu affect 3dmarks scores? Right now I'm benching at 1930mhz. I need a bigger increase in points.

I've been using a 220 pelt cooled with chilled water, about -10c water.
The thing You have to do is cool the pelt with the coolest water you can produce. Have some good radiators, plenty flow, a bong even if you can. The cooler the hot side the better.

Yes of coarse more Mhz is going to to help your score:D

Cool, good luck:) Remember I just guessed on your Overclock, It's all luck of the draw when it comes to a good chip. But you've got the cooling and that's a big deal with these T-Breds so you should do well.:D

OPP- are you still using your original Tbred or have you by chance gotten a newer stepping? I'm anxious to see what stepping I get from my RMA of my 2200+. Should finally be coming soon. Still waiting on it.

sysfailur,

DDTUNG has the original XP2200, AIRDA week 22.

I've tried 2 more, they were AIRGAs week 24 and they weren't as good.

Maranello and OPP thanks for the help. I was just wondering if it was worth spending the extra money for the gain in mhz. I did don't if it would be cost efficient. I'm not sure how mhz translates into points.

Your best bet would to be to save that CPU money and invest it in an ATi 9700 when they come out, if you're talking 3dMark

I would stay between 1.85 and 1.95 when running at your normal Stable overclock. For an occaisional bench the highest I've used was 2.04 but I would'nt run it like that for very long just incase.
