Im debating myself into 1 or 2 loops???? I got all the components for the second loop but I need your advice !!!!

Feel free to suggest...

EK S-Max NB block
EK Asus 4 SB block
EK HD 4870 x2 copper acetal block

I got pretty good fans, that can get the best out of the PA's

I love the little H2GO. It can get spendy for such a small case, but definitely cool and out of the ordinary.

I've always wondered why they use an acrylic motherboard tray for this though, it's mostly all covered by the board.

Well, it does strike me as strange, but I am going to see if I can mount my CCL on the underside of the tray so that the light comes up through the tray (we'll see if it actually fits). So that's one use for it, I guess. Other than that, I don't know...cost maybe?

There is an example of this in my pics: http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=201976

I have two 4"ers one in the front to backlight the fans and one in the middle that makes the motherboard tray light up. Looks nice in the dark.

Newegg just shipped my HD 4870 X2
And Gary from "sidewindercomputers" send me the new tubing that Am gonna be using for this project...

In the mean while I sleeve the 24 pin ATX connector each one of them, the EPS 12v rail, the SATA cables, the 8 and 6 pin for the video card.... and everything including Pump, LED, Power connector, etc....

I clean every waterblock to get rid of the tarnish.... in a molotov mix as follow... : 2 Limes and boiling distilled white vinegar 10%....

Oh wow that is going to look great!

Simple question tho... What was that cooking session good for ? I mean for the Copper piece of art ? Removing stains ?

Keep it up!

j.almonte
09-24-2008, 07:39 PM
yeahh i just boil some vinegar and let the block rest for 30 min, and them clean it with distilled water...
basically the stains were caused by my oily hands admiring the block every 5 sec... LOL

Patriote
09-24-2008, 07:52 PM
I see. And it removed any stains left by your oily fingers ? Did you had to rub the block with something ?

nope... if you want you can rub it with an old toothbrush

Very nice!

I just got in my cable-sleeving kit. How long did it take you to do the PSU cables?

j.almonte
09-29-2008, 05:04 PM
well it depends, if you are sleeving the 24 pin atx plug...with 10' you get the job done but if you like me sleeve the 12v eps connector, the PCI-e and everything else... You gonna need at least 35 or 40' of 1/8 flex-pet

zlojack
09-29-2008, 05:09 PM
I meant how long in time, not in sleeving length. :D

j.almonte
09-29-2008, 06:54 PM
my bad..... I was in the middle of some serious overclocking when I read your question..
Well the real PITA is getting the pins out of the plug.... If you are doing it for the first time to take the first one out can take you up to 15min but after that you probably can sleeve the 24 pin plug in 1 or 1.5 hours.

zlojack
09-29-2008, 07:09 PM
Nice!

Thanks for the advice. It will be my first time, so I'm sure I'll mess it up. But just seeing your final results shows that it's worth it!

What did you use to cut the washer on the UN Designs Bracket? I'm going to have to do the same for mine to make my pump fit.

Also, what size sleeving & heatshrink did you use in order to sleeve the individual power wires?

I use a dremmel with a cutting disk in low RPM top cut it...
The sleeving size is 1/8 and the heatshrink tube is 1/4...

good luck !!
