Latest X48 chipset driver on Foxconn website and on Quantum force is 8.3.1.1011, but the latest from intel is 9.0.0.1008

Is there some reason the latest from Intel isn't meant to be used on the Blackops? It's been out since the 2nd of June so it seems unlikely that they just hadn't updated the sites by now..

I installed Intel 9.0.0.1011 on Mars Mobo. Foxconn LiveUpdate want me to install 9.0.0.1009 and doesnt find my newer version.
I cant find 9.0.0.1011 either. Where is the driver file located? How can the driver be monitored?

Hi!

i always download the drivers from intel directly as they are always newer than the ones on the foxconn site

i am using the latest chipset and raid drivers from intel and have no problems with them

http://www.intel.com/support/chipsets/sb/CS-028823.htm

just choose Intel® X48 Express Chipset from the list as this is the chipset the blackops uses

best regards

Yeah, but the installer still looks at what chipset you have and installs the one for that. I dl'd the latest, but it installed 8.5.0.1032 and not the 9.0.0.1011. I think the 9.0.0.1011 are for the newer ICH10R the P45's have and not out ICH9R's the Blackops has. If I am wrong, the stupid installer doesn't like me.:p:

The 8.5.0.1032 is the number of Intel Matrix Storage Manager:

The 9.0.0.10xx is the number of Intel Chipset Driver:
But why are the versions 9.0.0.1009 and 9.0.0.1011 removed?

Hahah, I's not smart. Thanks. I do have the 9.0.0.1009 installed.

Weird how they disappeared from their website. Hopefully nothing wrong with them.

Edit, Just found the 9.0.0.1011's. They are listed under the Intel P45 motherboards. I looked at the supported boards those drivers list and X48 is not on it. So I take it these will not work with our Blackops.
