Hi everyone at Xtreme forums. This is my first WC build and first post here.

I have had a Shuttle PC for the last 6 years and it finally died a permanent death a few weeks ago so I now have a perfect excuse to replace my kit.

I mostly play Eve-online and the name of this project is in honour of a dead NPC character who my alliance had significant contact with.

I have spent the last few months browsing the various Watercooling and modding forums and had hoped that Danger Den were coming out with a new waterbox styled case that could fit twin rads. However they released a new tower, nice though it is, its not for me.

Inspired by BooStFeD's awesome thread (http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=174525) I went ahead and ordered a H2g0 to be shipped to the UK.

My plan is to:
-use a 120.3 and 120.1 internally. Nothing external.
-one loop to cool CPU and one 4870x2.
-use a SSD instead of a hard drive.
-get some custom grills made up for front and rear.

I have ordered all the watercooling bits and will wait for the case to arrive before getting the cpu, gfx, and ssd. Given the delivery wait I can hopefully secure a Q9550 E0 and an intel SSD.

Ideally I would like to put the 120.1 where the the hard drive bay normally is and then find somewhere else to place the SSD. If not I guess I can mount it in the bay and mount the 120.1 at the back.

My current thoughts are to stick the SSD on top of a dual bay reservoir or to the floor of the case.

I have some thoughts about replacing the side panel with a completely clear panel but I will see how things go..

kit list so far:
H2g0
Thermochill PA120.2 and PA120.1
Xilence Pro fans with red LED
3/8 ID Tubing
DDC-1T with XSPC acrylic pump top
XSPC Dual Eye Ball Res
Swiftech Apogee GTZ CPU Block
EK-FC4870x2 Acetal
DFI Lan Party DK P35-T2RS

Happy to hear any suggestions about the SSD mounting.

Hopefully in 2 or 3 weeks I will have some pictures.

Welcome to XtremeSystems.

you have a good choice of equiptment.
just don't forget some airflow to your other equiptment.
as some hard disk like to run hot and croak up on you if you forget to give them air...

hope you post some nice pictures too.

Welcome to the forums fellow H2gO user! :) I just recently finished my H2gO and was able to run a PA 120.1 and 120.2 internally. It was a bit of a challenge, but I am very pleased with the outcome. Take a look in my build log for some ideas about how to route tubing and what not. If you have any questions, let me know! I'll have the pics of my final computer posted within the next week or so, just haven't had time to get them all up yet. Hope this helps!

Well I had been waiting for the Intel SSD to be released along with the easy availability of the Q9550 but it was not to be. I want this thing up and running by 31st October for Fallout 3! My plan is now to get it running and tested with a spare HD I will sit outside the case until Intel get their supplies moving, and I ordered a Q9650 instead of the cheaper option. All remaining major parts should arrive by the weekend so I should have a fun week ahead!

There will be pics I promise.

No delivery of the case so instead spent the time testing some of the bits and pieces.

Found three problems so far:

1) Gaskets catching in the fans
A number of the thermochill gaskets were catching into the fans so I removed the fans and squashed the gaskets away from the aperture using my fingers then remounted the fans. All are nice and quiet now.

2) Dominator Fans screw mounting broken
One of the screw fittings on one of two brackets that holds the fans to the memory slots had snapped off(shaken off in transit I guess). I tried gluing it without success but in the end I just got it as tight as possible and then made sure the other screws were holding everything in place with nothing loose.

3) Switched EK 4870x2 block barb
I had set up the barbs on the gfx card to both be on the back of the board, however with the dominator fans in place it looked like it was going to be pretty crowded on the cpu side of the motherboard so I switched the barb at the rear of the card to the front side.

I getting my second H2go, i am using my first one as a bench, they work great for that,.

But I have another one coming this week which i will put my 790i FTW/GTX280sc in with on full water.
So it will be a fun build to shoehorn it in,. but i love the idea of the flat MB and also, i got the
handle for the top so i can hook it up to my TV when i want to go big screen.....

Best of luck with build and keep in touch.! :surf:

Oh dear  I now have no expected delivery date for my case (MM please throw your UK distributors a bone) and so in anger I built my rig using a couple of glass shelves in a hi-fi stand, with only the gfx card in the loop to keep it simple for now. Guess I wont have a problem of heat in this case!

Easy on the distributor mate..
The issue is with us at this moment. As we told them, timing was for an order was not good. Throwing a multiple case order on top of 40+ pre-orders makes for a test of patience..
Things are in good shape to ship tomorrow though:)

Case arrived last week and so I have started to fit everything in place. Ordered 2 Intel SSD on Friday and they arrived yesterday so spent the last two days wondering how to fit them. My current idea may cause some hilarity. I wont spoil the fun until I get some pics up. Spent tonight on cable management (i.e. stuffing it where you cant see!). Hopefully some new hose will arrive tomorrow so I can finish the job. The hose I used over the last two weeks with distilled water had completely clouded up so I took the opportunity to try out a few colours rather than just stick with clear.

I read somewhere that every PC must have one custom part
http://www.greenwich.plus.com/Hosting/Images/Karishal/SpecialDelivery.JPG

Now which one shall I choose?
http://www.greenwich.plus.com/Hosting/Images/Karishal/Choice.JPG

Damn, sprung a leak after wrestling with the DVD drive and reservoir.
http://www.greenwich.plus.com/Hosting/Images/Karishal/Leak.JPG

The previous was loop was kinking slightly in a couple of places so replaced the 1/2 OD tubing with something a bit fatter in the lower section of the case

Nearly Finished

This was my wife's idea. The pair of SSD are attached to the acrylic plate with velcro.

It looks like they are bulging alot but once the case is in place they flatten down

Fat tubing with no kinks!
