I hope these problems are resolved by the time the KT400 comes out.

hmmm, that's strange, is that only on their mobo's or on their chipsets? I see all the ASUS, MSI and other mobo's so I'm guessing its VIA chipsets. I went and installed the unofficial patch, when I restarted I enetered GTA3 and played a while then PC froze, when I restarted it would hang on windows startup... After 5 restarts I got a desktop and removed the drivers, when I benched the HDD (Maxtor D740X 80GB) after the first restart (which worked) I only got lower scores on Sandra, I see no change, but I don't have a PCI controller card, only the onboard ATA100

all this German bull is way outdated. Look for RAID fix up in the VIA Arena website

OK.... But this doesn't apply to the users, using IDE. And I happen to be one, so this patch could be very usefull to me, but the patch writer suggests not to use the latest 0.19 on mobo's like mine :(

Its true, I see no difference in my HDD benchmarks with and without 0.19 on my KX7333R. I am using two IBM 120GXPs in raid striping. When I install the RPP from viaarena.com I get reduced performance on my read bandwidth. It goes down to 81MBps from 93MBps. quite a difference.

I wonder what the next version of the breese patch will do, since the experimental 0.20 is supposed to improve raid performance or something ;)
