I'll be modding a bit on my comp and i was thinking removing the mobo from the case, so i would ave access to everything easily. How do you prevent the pci card from being removed? if you have pics of your setup i'd be interested

Do you mean how do you keep the PCI card from falling out while the mobo is out of the case?

How long do you plan on running your rig like this? I would imagine a few rubber bands and/or electrical tape would do the trick:p:

I don't know how long
On the pci card there's a tab at the end and the card are quite loose in the slot they can easily be removed

antipop I always put my mb on top of the box it came in and let the PCI and video card tabs hang over the edge. Does that make sense to you ?

Yes it does and you never had a problem this way?
What do you put under the mobo? I was thinking keeping the small legs that comes with the case (if you see what i'm talking about)

It works good ! never had problems here.

yes the standoffs would work fine !! I usually leave the plastic spacer type on the mb.

I don't, when you add/remove expension cards etc the PCB will bend more than being flat on a piece of foam.

Never tried as I only just sent money off for pump today, but wil ltri it soon. I will prob able just cut a hole in the box or little circles into foam where the bit goes through other side.

I have the IC7-G mobo in my sig out of the case. I have the mobo, PS, and HD mounted to a piece of wood with various types of standoffs. I figured that it would help with cooling to have everything raised off the board.

As for the AGP and PCI cards, I have never had a problem with them simply sitting in the slots. Of course, I do not move the mobo much at all.

Here (http://users.adelphia.net/~youmansj/images/Wood%20Case%202.jpg) is an old picture of my Folding Farm.

Take a look at this antipop

What do you think?

I have a pump now, just waiting for something then will be watercooling the processor, will let you know about my ideas for the block and the bits that come out from bottom of mounting holes.

Yeah i know those fans but they usually don't have very high cfm's, i'd rather have something efficient than something that looks good. But if you're tuning your case then it's the thing to have

They both blow 30cfm, thats more than enough for those HDDs, and for blowing voer the memory

antipop

I think it's enough but i'm an addict of high cfm, loudy fans
