i think they are from Asetek, but anyone got any specific info on what BlackBird's are using to cool their CPU and GPU?

is it liquid cooling or phase change?

thanks!

BB' cooling system is basically an Asetek LCLC except a little bit more powerful...
Liquid cooling BTW.

any reason why the good folks at XS does not use Asetek? or is this like one of those "newbie-kits", easy maintenance, marginally acceptable?

Well. Asetek is mostly OEM of what I know.
Performance wise I dunno really... Actually quite sad as it is just around the cornor at my place almost litterally :p

My first kit back in '03 was an Asetek kit. It had a BIP 120, Hydor 30, and what they now call their Antarctica block as well as all the little extras needed for a complete kit. I had it on a 2.4 GHz Northy and temps weren't half bad and the biggest reason I got it was the noise level was greatly reduced.

These new LCLC kits are likely filled with some very undesirable stuff. If it's anything like the small bottle of Asetek anti-algae I picked up in late '05/ early '06, it's got water wetter in it. Needless to say, I still have the bottle and it's unused to this day.

Asetek LCLC is "newbie stuff". Very similar performance to the Swiftech H20-120 kit.
