I was just looking at motherboards at Newegg, and came across this P45 MB from foxcon. I've never seen this layout on a MB, and it seems quite interesting. Does anyone have any info on it, or know why they changed the format?

Definitely not news. It is a standard ATX board with a :banana::banana::banana:ty layout

I never even mentioned the word "new form factor" ...I said "NEW LAYOUT!"

oh it's the same??? Ok, so why then is the NB to the RIGHT of the CPU are, and the CPU area is flipped around. It's not vertical opposed to horizontal.

this IS a new layout...This layout is not on any other board...

i don't like the layout. the southbridge is buried and the northbridge won't get good airflow for people with tower CPU heatsinks. the RAM will be directly in the path of airflow.

Obvious troll is obvious?

I saw this a week ago and I noticed the different layout. It makes it hard to find a nb cooler.

Put it under water then...problem solved.

I would be willing to put up with the minor layout issues for dual x16 lanes. The only question I have is why didn't Asus do this with their MIIF???? Now we will have the MIIF Extreme which will cost > $300. Stupid Asus.
