Well, it could be named SaayaKey or ShamKey but i didn't ask them about copyright :D so FoxKey is the right choice

What's that ? ... why ? how ?

It's two major things :

- A tool for easy automatic flashing of all Quantum Force Motherboards with diagnostics tools too (memtest ATM)
- A tookit for "any clocker" for your scratch Windows (plug your key and you have all you need ;))

Let me introduce the first point :

- You have created the key (or CD) (we will see how in post #2)
- You boot on it and then :

http://img170.imageshack.us/img170/9048/foxkey1uj6.th.jpg (http://img170.imageshack.us/my.php?image=foxkey1uj6.jpg)

Let's flash a QF mobo :D BlackOps ??? Mars ??? (Avenger ??? Destroyer ??? not yet :d) that is the question !

http://img114.imageshack.us/img114/4826/foxkey2vf2.th.jpg (http://img114.imageshack.us/my.php?image=foxkey2vf2.jpg)

Oki ... let's go back in G28 then i have to choose it ;)

http://img111.imageshack.us/img111/9770/foxkey3hv9.th.jpg (http://img111.imageshack.us/my.php?image=foxkey3hv9.jpg)

Then we have to wait a few seconds (with some technical "blah blah")

http://img153.imageshack.us/img153/9546/foxkey4ry0.th.jpg (http://img153.imageshack.us/my.php?image=foxkey4ry0.jpg)

Then a simple question with only two choices [1,2] :
- Flash it
- This Saaya's advice for flashing this new bios is scaring me ... i quit to think about that again

Let's go for flashing (life is so short ...) !

Here we go (nothing to do, all is automatic) after typing your choice 1 :

http://img352.imageshack.us/img352/865/foxkey5dt4.th.jpg (http://img352.imageshack.us/my.php?image=foxkey5dt4.jpg) http://img352.imageshack.us/img352/475/foxkey6um3.th.jpg (http://img352.imageshack.us/my.php?image=foxkey6um3.jpg) http://img370.imageshack.us/img370/683/foxkey7uc4.th.jpg (http://img370.imageshack.us/my.php?image=foxkey7uc4.jpg)

F1, reboot and that's it ;)

You will see that the tools menu have memtest diagnostic tool (no need to explain ;))

Well, and now ?

You have flashed it ... you boot in Windows and want to bench but ... sh*t, you forgot to download your favorite tool ???

No problem plug your key and you will find a "Useful Tools" directory with all you need ;)

http://img258.imageshack.us/img258/4345/tools2gj5.th.png (http://img258.imageshack.us/my.php?image=tools2gj5.png)
http://img258.imageshack.us/img258/4637/tools1kw9.th.png (http://img258.imageshack.us/my.php?image=tools1kw9.png)

The Installer directory contains Setup programs to install into Windows and Launcher directory contains programs that you can execute from the key ;)

Let's go for benchs ;)

==> Current release : v0.2 (you need a 256Mb key ... 128Mb is too short but why not buying a GB one :D)

the USB key version FoxKey_v0.2_EN.7z (http://koda.nokytech.net/FoxKey/FoxKey_v0.2_EN.7z)
the CD version FoxKeyCD_V0.2_EN.7z (http://koda.nokytech.net/FoxKey/FoxKeyCD_v0.2_EN.7z)

MD5 sums are :

b32d8c8c0865e31504522e412ffbb8ea for FoxKey_v0.2_EN.7z
3e31ac3cb35345ac5ae5c5b50f296ebc for FoxKeyCD_v0.2_EN.7z

How to create the key ?

1/ You have downloaded it in a directory (C:\Work)
http://img156.imageshack.us/img156/1994/tuto1eh7.th.jpg (http://img156.imageshack.us/my.php?image=tuto1eh7.jpg)
2/ Extract it with 7-zip
http://img156.imageshack.us/img156/8185/tuto2aa5.th.jpg (http://img156.imageshack.us/my.php?image=tuto2aa5.jpg)
3/ Hmmm, my laptop is definitely sloooooowwwwww :/
http://img156.imageshack.us/img156/3086/tuto3ka6.th.jpg (http://img156.imageshack.us/my.php?image=tuto3ka6.jpg)
4/ Ok that's done ... we got a new directory
http://img156.imageshack.us/img156/6870/tuto4wm7.th.jpg (http://img156.imageshack.us/my.php?image=tuto4wm7.jpg)
5/ Let's go into the INSTALL directory - look at the picture - ready to launch HPUSBFW.EXE
http://img156.imageshack.us/img156/6052/tuto5co1.th.jpg (http://img156.imageshack.us/my.php?image=tuto5co1.jpg)
6/ We launched it ... ready to format in FAT mode with the right label ;)
http://img156.imageshack.us/img156/7137/tuto6zh9.th.jpg (http://img156.imageshack.us/my.php?image=tuto6zh9.jpg)
7/ Warning ... are you sure ? :D
http://img156.imageshack.us/img156/2667/tuto7ug5.th.jpg (http://img156.imageshack.us/my.php?image=tuto7ug5.jpg)
8/ format ... format ... format
http://img156.imageshack.us/img156/9650/tuto8jt5.th.jpg (http://img156.imageshack.us/my.php?image=tuto8jt5.jpg)
9/ The result is here
http://img156.imageshack.us/img156/1681/tuto9gs9.th.jpg (http://img156.imageshack.us/my.php?image=tuto9gs9.jpg)
10/ Now, the most complicate thing ... install a bootloader ... so you have to launch an MS DOS command window (Start/Execute type cmd) and do exactly the same commands than below (assuming that key unit is F: in our case ;))
http://img156.imageshack.us/img156/3056/tuto10ci1.th.jpg (http://img156.imageshack.us/my.php?image=tuto10ci1.jpg)
11/ Select all directories/files to copy into the key (exactly like theses ones selected below)
http://img156.imageshack.us/img156/7567/tuto11sh2.th.jpg (http://img156.imageshack.us/my.php?image=tuto11sh2.jpg)
12/ copy into the key
http://img156.imageshack.us/img156/4834/tuto12jh8.th.jpg (http://img156.imageshack.us/my.php?image=tuto12jh8.jpg)
13/ Your key must be like this ;)
http://img156.imageshack.us/img156/2113/tuto13vg8.th.jpg (http://img156.imageshack.us/my.php?image=tuto13vg8.jpg)

Just have to plug it into your mobo ... boot on it (USB key in first place into HD priority bios sub menu) and that's it ;)

Does this have P95, Aegis and Realtemp on it?

If so it will be really useful for me, I have a 3TB raid5 and the other night i was overclocking and crashed and it took out one of the drives, the array has been rebuilding for over 40 hours and still not done :/

If I can unplug the drives and just use this to test settings that would be sweeeet :D

It contains intall programs for :

3D Mark01 SE 330
7-Zip 4.60
AtiTool 0.26
Bar Edit 3.0
All versions of Foxconn Aegis Panel
HDTach 3.0
MBM5
RivaTuner 2.10
Sandra 2009
SpeedFan 4.35
Winrar 3.71

So you can install this on your windows BUT you need Windows ... we can't release a version with Windows on key due to licensing problem ;)

For the following ones you don't need to install them (just click to execute from the key from your Windows Explorer) :

CoreTemp 0.99.3
CpuZ 1.47
CrytalCPUID 4.15
Everest 4.60
GpuZ 0.27
HyperPI 0.98
Memtest 3.7 for windows
SP2004 Orthos version
RealTemp 2.77
SetFSB 2.173
SuperPI mod 1.5 XS
Wprime 1.62

If you have any suggestions, needs, ideas ... feel free to post or PM me ;)

I guess I could just use BartPE to create a WinXP usb flash image with the tools on it... I might even post instructions here if I have time ;)

The problem is not about technical problems ... i know exactly how to do ;)
You will see ... it is really slow to use :D

Are you really sure about BartPE rights ?

I'm not really sure about "posting anything concerning Windows on an USB key" rights ;)

Koda, it's ok to post instructions if the user has a valid copy of Windows XP :)

You need an XP disc in order to make the flash image.. so of course anyone with a Windows XP disc is going to have bought it ;)

Koda, great job and thanks. I noticed that the BIOS files are all .imz files. Can .bin files be added directly? If not, how are the .bin files converted to .imz files.

Thanks again.

Oh no !

The imz file are not ONLY bios file ... it is a kind of floppy image with tools to flash & bios ;)

Well, if you want to see another bios or another QF mobo ... let me know ;)

I'm thinking to add Destroyer ones (but i can't test them, if saaya or someone else are ready to test ;)) maybe Avenger (but don't think to have one in my hands before some couples of weeks).

I need to add 1.02.34 Aegis panel

So, sailindawg, feel free to let me know your needs here or in PM ;)

regards
