i got the email thedude, thats some kick-ass dremel work. The case im using right now is http://members.cox.net/pknight/6.jpg http://members.cox.net/pknight/4.jpg I wanted something that would look a little better, but i plan to put some cold cathodes in it or something..not sure what i want to do.

(Badly need to take some decent pix unfortunately... don't like the window design i went with, but have a spare panel so am in middle of redesigning the lot, plus I've gotta fit the pelt-cooling system into it for the GPU now...)

TC's doing a dual Prommi soon for GPU & CPU... I'm waitin to get the Mk II on 404/507 and then I'm buildin a custom directdie for gpu using one of baker's heads.... so another case will be required soon!

I just design em... I have a gr8 backup team... Souljacker points out crap ideas and moans at me fer being a butcher n' makes sure I do it right... Fliptone does all the physical cutting for me as I have half a muscle in my right arm and I'm right handed, so can't exactly do it meself... and all 3 of us sit there with files fer hours on end...
Jigsaws fer everything.... no awkward tools or nuthin.... none of this payin' a lasercutter etc... just jigsaw, files and a handfull o' braincells n' anyone can do it...
Just remember, if it's steel get some abrasive metal polish on it.... it'll come up like a mirror after 100+hrs of elbow time no matter what state it was in to start with... edges.... find the smallest file, as many arms as possible, and lots more hours and blisters... Jack Daniels assists in the procedure, but only AFTER the jigsaw work... we tried it b4 once... not a good move...
And keep the smokin' gear to hand... helps put the brakes on any moments of madness involving chisels and a lump hammer...

And if you reckon the smoking gear will reduce the destruction madness, you haven't met my mate Andy yet, we don't call him "Calamity Andy" for nothing, he blew up a jackhammer on a building site a couple of days ago. :D

Yeah.... the dual prommie is guna be mine.... got the first prommie 2day and shud have the next one b4 the end of next week..
Shud be fun to play with and i'll be sure to keep a log on everything i do :D

tc_overclocker, how you gonna mount both prommies? I was thinking of mounting the gpu prommy right beside the main one, but I dont think the hose will reach over very well. Perhaps mounting the case centered over the 2 prommies, half way over each?

That way I think will work as I have seen it done before....Quad and Nazer's 27k breaker was set up like that...
The way that I am guna try is one Prommi sat ontop of the other with the hose from the bottom one fed up through the top one... this should then reach just where the gfx card is... but we shall se :D

Been meaning to ask you for ages now, what happened to your arm?

Yeah.... right.... with Dremel that Vapo would take months instead of a day or two with a jigsaw. You only need a dremel if yer too clumsy with a jigsaw... :P
teach me how to do stuff like that on a jigsaw
Masking tape entire panel, draw on design, drill lotsa start n stop holes in tight corners and bends.... grab the jigsaw... go!
Once yer done, pick up yer files...

I dont think you will be able to poke one cooling head through one prommy for your graphics card, its a pretty tight fit in there. I wouldnt fancy cutting the prommy case either, its bulletproof.
If I was doing it id make a double width perspex case with the prommies side by side. You would have to make it dead strong though as they are so heavy.

lol.... dunno mate... let me n Fliptone at it with the jigsaw and we'll make it fit... may have to reshape the suction line on the top unit to make things more "accomodating" but we're slowly accumulating enough gear to allow us to remove the lines off each prommi and completely redo em if needs be... all depends on ebay and a vac pump at the mo!

Problem is htat id be very scared of taking a jigsaw to a promy with its internals inside... so he will have to strip the upper prommy from its case to do the cutting... not nice.

Hour or two of cutting, day or two of filing on my rig. Fliptone's rig took 2 weeks to design the windows, and took him a few days to cut, and a week to file.
