Is this a single-platter drive? How would it compare to the single-platter 320Gb Barracuda 7200.11?

The Seagate single platters the model number to look for is ST3320613AS

An alternative on scan are the Samsung HD322HJ drives, in stock and are very impressive, only about £35 each also :)

Thanks. Wow, I didn't realise the Samsung F1s had gotten so cheap - might sell off my SCSI hardware and go for 2 or 3 of those in a ZFS pool :)

is it just me or is a lot of people having issues with the seagate 320 7200.11 3 outta 4 failed within the first hour from newegg..
i really wanted two for raid0 but..im not sure if i want to buy another..
new egg has a lot of DOA reviews...is it just them or everywhere..maybe something to talk about before makin the leap ..
