Sorry, slightly OT, but warranty on gfx cards?

I know the standard warranty is 36 months which is good and generous, but does it cover replacing the stock cooler and overclocking (not flashing bios)?

I'm fairly sure that overclocking will void your warranty, but I don't know if they have ways of checking whether the card has been overclocked. I imagine the presence of burned out chips would be a strong indicator.
