shooting the objects with a bb gun or something? very cool stuff

to shoot the objects i used a airgun.

You set a exposure time of e.g. 6 seconds and darken the room. that would result in a black photo. behind the object i want to shoot is a trigger which is initiated by the projectile of the airgun. this trigger fires the flash and the exploding object gets exposed for a very short moment. the shorter the flash burns the sharper the image should get.

maybe someone else with a external flash will try this? :) woul be cool to see more fotos

I've heard of similar effects being achieved on the Canon PowerShot S3 camera. Modified firmware can alter the flash duration to give something like the equivalent of a 1/32000 sec exposure
